We stayed at this hotel at the start of March. We were a little apprehensive at first as this was our first stay in Inverness and we were unsure about spending a Friday night in the heart of Inverness city, and panicked we might have a sleepless night! This hotel was perfect though and we got a peaceful, comfortable nights sleep.
The hotel did look slightly intimidating at first when we arrived and walked into reception, my boyfriend and i made a joke that we might get thrown out for simply wearing our jeans! But were happy later to realise we were dressed the same as the other guests.
The receptionist was not the most friendliest but checking in was very easy and we were given good directions to our room but were given the wrong time for breakfast, but luckily the correct times were in our room.
The room itself was basic but lovely and the bed was very comfy. The only issue we had with the room was we were unable to get the shower to work properly and only managed cold water from it, so both had a warm bath instead. We didn't report this to reception as in too much of a hurry, in the morning! We didn’t get a view of the river, and looked out to some flats on a side street, but for the cost we were very happy with this.
Breakfast was lovely, we had to wait awhile to be seated, but the staff were friendly and the tea was lovely :o) It was self service for breakfast and the food was very nice. If we were to stay at Inverness again, we would defiantly go here again as we got a brilliant deal of £60 for the night including breakfast :o)
