Perfect Home Base
To start, the pictures posted of Ivybank don't do it justice, it is even more amazing in person. It is a large rental, great for a big group and yet it is easy to make a cozy spot to sit around and visit after a day of sightseeing. We were greeted at check in by Fiona who showed us around and answered any questions. Being right next door we knew if we had any problems she was available.
We were a family of 5 - three generations and all agreed it was perfect. The kitchen was very well stocked with anything you could need to create great meals. The 3 bedrooms were all very nice with comfy beds and ensuite to give additional privacy. Our daughter loved the tower room with the third floor bathroom - amazing!
Having onsite parking was terrific and it was only a short walk to the castle, shopping and tours. We would have happily stayed longer to explore the area more. Memories of visiting around the fire in the evening in our Scottish 'castle' will stand out for us all. Do not hesitate to book this high quality rental, you won't regret it.

Lovely accommodations
I traveled with a group of 4 friends. We arrived and fell in love! Each room had its own unique personality. We easily fit with plenty of room. Fiona was a sweetheart. The location was close for walking to restaurants and stores - very convenient. The parking area was much appreciated as we had a rental van. There are lots of steps, and all bedrooms are upstairs. Kitchen was well equipped and included tea cakes and milk as a welcome surprise. We felt safe and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Ivybank
This place is centrally located in Inverness. No vehicle required. The house is a gem. It is a perfect house. It is way bigger than the pictures show. The yard is massive and manicured and the kitchen is perfect. Bathrooms are good and lots of privacy. 10/10

Gorgeous old Scottish mansion with new world creature comforts and great location.
Short walking distance from Inverness River walk and downtown. Lots of space both in living areas and the bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms, plus extra bathrooms (4 1/2 bathrooms). Host was friendly and helpful. The house is owned by MacLeod clan and we are under that clan also, so it felt like staying with family! So beautifully decorated with charm and function. Also parking for cars is available off the street. Just staying here was a fun experience and we didn't want to leave.

Unforgettable house, wonderful hosts!!
My friends and I recently visited Inverness and rented this amazing house for the week. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this house and its hosts. The rooms are just amazing.. each bedroom had its own bathroom, the beds were SO comfortable, the kitchen easy to work in, and the grounds were beautiful. An added bonus was the short walk to the center of town (and the bus lines), and the Ness river. Fiona, our host, could not have been nicer. If I ever am lucky enough to return to Inverness, this is where I would want to stay!

Fab home!
To say we loved Ivybank is an understatement! It was comfy, immaculate, and beautiful. The beds were so comfortable, and the bright, sunny kitchen had everything anyone could need. Fiona was a delight to meet and she was available whenever we might have needed. It was a magical week and all 4 of us dreaded leaving. We will be back!

Lovely and centrally located
My husband and brothers family just recently returned from a trip to Scotland and absolutely adored our stay at the Ivybank. It is centrally located and is an easy walk to the town center, the river, resteraunts and shopping. There was tons of space for the 6 of us. Loved having bathrooms for all 3 bedrooms and an extra one too. Bonus is all the living space from a lovely front sitting area to two living rooms and a fully stocked kitchen. The pictures on the site really didn't showcase all the space and room.
Would recommend to anyone traveling in a group or family to stay at the Ivybank.

Home away from home

Beyond Perfect Home Away from Home
I had high expectations from Ivybank after reading the reviews and seeing pictures-- the reality far exceeded them. It is ideally situated a short walk from Inverness and yet you feel like you are in your own private haven, thanks to the beautiful garden and trees surrounding the property. Fiona could not be more lovely and is around if any issues should arise-- we had none. The house is clean, comfortable, full of modern conveniences, and was more than enough space for me, my husband, and our two children. And yet we still felt so cozy here. The beds are very comfortable, the kitchen has everything you could possibly need and the house has so many interesting details that are fun to slowly take in during your stay. We felt like we had a true home while we spent 10 days in Inverness and could not possibly imagine staying anywhere else. Highly recommend staying here if you have the opportunity!
