Our family (2 adults & 2 children - 12/14) stayed here for 2 nights to explore Inverness and the area. Very easy to find right off of the motor way. At first glance, it didn't seem like an interesting area because it is surrounded by offices. However, it is easy to get on and off the motor way to access other areas. It is also a very quiet area - don't notice the motor way at all.

The room was standard fare for PTI. Double/queen bed, couch that made into a bed and a mattress on the floor. Even with the bed on the floor, we found that there was plenty of room for all of us. There were renovations taking place while we were there, but they didn't bother us at all. Mostly painting and the workers stopped by supper time and we were out during the day so didn't notice them at all then.

There is a shopping area just a 5 minute walk away, including a Tescos. We were able to pickup supplies there for snacks and breakfasts. We find the 7.50 pounds (each) for breakfast a tad expensive, even if the kids are free, so we ate in the room on our own - besides it makes for a quieter morning as we don't have to get up right away and go out. For one of our suppers we went to Harry Ramsdens - a chain just a couple of minutes away (can walk it in about 10 minutes) that we found by accident. We decided on the take out as it was signifcantly cheaper than their restaurant. I even had the haggis, which I quite liked!

We had one supper at the hotel restaurant. As a previous review said, it is on the expensive side - but the kids meals are a good price. Sometimes though, after a busy day of touring, it is just too much trouble to drive around searching for a place to eat.

We would stay here again.

I found The Premier Travel Inn in Beechwood Inverness to be a good experience.Place was clean and bright and staff were extremely helpful and pleasant and nothing was a bother.Receptionist at booking in was very informative and any staff I subsequently encountered were equally helpful. Our room was large and in good condition.

However,on the down side,I could not recommend the restaurant facility.I found it expensive and meals were of small portions.Restaurant was not value for money, although staff were very pleasant.

We've all stayed at one of these motel type accommodations. So we all know what to expect. Somewhere clean & convenient to put your head down usually after a long drive. I wasn't expecting anything more than that when I stayed here. However I found that the place was very tired looking with the pink & white bathroom tiles(didn't they go out with the 80's!) needing to be regrouted & the bedding looking rather faded. Although the place was clean when something isn't looking it's best it can feel dirty.
Of course I'll stay at another Travel Inn at some point but I'll definately be keeping a close eye to see if they all could be doing with a refurb!

Needed a place to stay as we decided to travel a day earlier than planned for our trip to Aviemore. Just as great as before when we stayed in June 05. Staff very friendly and all you want in your room for a overnight stay. Had some great steaks for dinner in the Brewers Fayre next door. Would recommend to all.

“Great American-type hotel”

Premier Inn-Inverness East

This UK hotel chain is the closest to American family-type hotels we have ever seen. We have stayed in several and the Inverness East is no different. Not too far driving from city centre. Rooms are big, open layout, clean and well decorated. KING size bed very comfy with a thick warm comforter. Also comes with a sofa bed that was very comfortable as well. Average TV with Sky/cable, room had own thermostat, and equipped with teapot. Bathroom was big and clean, and had a towel warming rack. Our rate was L49/$86 for 2 adults and one child. Restaurant on site but no discount and blah food - we went elsewhere. Wireless internet access available for a fee. Overall, there is no "European" charm, but makes up for it with convenience and affordability.
