First of all, I should say this hotel is in the middle of the city, so if you don't like noise, probably not the best choice. There's a lot of noise on the streets at midnight and although I was awake by 6am as usual, there was a lot of noise on the street from delivery lorries outside.
The hotel is easy to find and is in a good location for shopping. Check in was fine and receptionist was polite and helpful. My room was a single on the top floor, no help offered with my bags but there is a lift, which I didn't need anyway, but I believe all hotels should offer. The room was OK, basic but everything provided, good sized TV, very good hospitality tray and the bathroom was HUGE! Like a room in itself! The rooms have a Travelodge type feeling, and the price is similar. No view, but I wasn't expecting one.
My only problem was there seemed to be a water pipe running above the bathroom. It was very loud and didn't stop from the moment I arrived to the moment I left, which is why it loses a star on my review. It made it difficult to relax.
The bed had a double duvet on, which was hot and heavy, so I didn't sleep that well, but it was OK. The bed was nice and firm. I would stay here again for the location and price, it suited me fine. I didn't eat here so can't comment on the food, but the reception and cleaning staff were pleasant.
