“enjoyed our stay at Ardconnel House”

Ardconnel House B&B

1 Feb 2008

We just returned from staying in Inverness at Ardconnel House and recommend it. Ardconnel House is located very centrally on a very nice quiet street, close to the train station, city centre and all amenities. John and Elizabeth were very nice, friendly and helpful as hosts, providing us with very good recommendations for places to see and tours to take. The breakfast was also very good and provided alot of choice. The room was very nice, clean and spacious, with a comfortable bed, tea and coffee, TV and DVD. We would recommend a visit to Inverness and Ardconnel House.

“Scotland's Finest B&B..!!”

Visiting Scotland for a wedding we booked a couple of nights at the Ardconnel House, Inverness, thanks to a friend's recommendation.

John & Liz were just the perfect hosts - we were very comfortable, nothing was too much trouble for these two.

The breakfasts were a perfect start to our day - John even cooked up a piece of Scotch haggis just for us to taste. Delicious..!!

Hoping to get back to Inverness again during the fall for a longer stay at Ardconnel House. Scotland's finest..!!

We first stayed for 5 wonderful days in October 2006 visiting our friends and taking in as many of the tourist spots as we could. Liz and johns knowledge of the area is something else. Whether it was historical or tourist information, just shopping, or some-where to dine, they only recommended places they had used. The hotel is superb and we were greeted like old friends on our return to stay with liz and john (30thDec-03rdJan). The hotel is ideally situated, 5mins walk away from the centre of town, for all of your retail therapy needs and night-time entertainment. The rooms are all very clean and fresh, and adorned with the little things that make you feel at home. The menu at breakfast caters for everyone, no matter what your diet is, freshly cooked by john, and liz`s home baking a real treat. Something to look forward to every morning. Will be back again later this year!

Up in the highlands area so I used Inverness as a base camp. Booked the B&B based on price and trip advisor reviews. Location was excellent. Room had ensuite bathroom and TV so I was happy with that. Very small room but it was very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent!

“An amazing experience..!!”

Ardconnel House B&B

1 Dec 2007

We had never stayed in a B&B before but we were so impressed by the many excellent reviews, both on Trip Advisor, and in Rick Steves' Guide to Great Britain, that we booked a five night stay. We certainly weren't disappointed.
Elizabeth and John were perfect hosts. Our room was exceedingly clean and comfortable and even had a king bed. The breakfasts were out of this world - so much better than typical hotel fayre. Each morning our hosts suggested many places to visit, in and around Inverness. These ranged from whisky distilleries to ancient castles - also a fantastic boat trip down a canal to beautiful Loch Ness and Urquart Castle.
John also arranged a game of golf for me at his local golf club, which was much appreciated.
Elizabeth recommended and made dinner reservations for us at the Mustard Seed and the Redcliffe restuarants, both were excellent.
All in all a great stay in a very comfortable guesthouse.
We will certainly return.
