We booked 2 rooms for one night at the start of our trip to the Highlands and what a great start we had at Bluebell House.

Firstly, the location is excellent is near, but not too near, the sadly rundown centre of Inverness. A short scenic stroll across the pedestrian bridge spanning the river Ness reaches Academy Street and you will see some good waterfront restaurants en route (we recommend Riva).

Bluebell House is a handsome building with large, beautifully proportioned rooms. Our rooms (one of which was the 4 poster mentioned by other reviewers) were very comfortable and stylish with a traditional feel.

Margaret & Neil are great hosts, available but not intrusive and they cook up superb breakfasts to order.

I would recommend this B&B to anyone wanting to enjoy personal Scottish hospitality at its best

“The best B'n'B i have ever stayed in”

Bluebell House

I stayed here with my girlfriend for three nights. The room was fantastic and the four post bed was excellent.
The breakfast was lovely with a wide selection for any tastes.
Margaret and Neil were outstanding hosts and provided good suggestions for day trips with excellent directions.
Only suggested improvment was the shower. It didnt have much pressure.
Above all a lovely place to stay with knowledgeable, friendly and very capable hosts. We felt very at home at Bluebell House.

“My Bluebell House experience”

Bluebell House

31 Oct 2007

I stayed at Bluebell House in October with my boyfriend and was greeted by Margaret upon arrival. The house is beautiful and the staff are instantly likable. The rooms are gorgeous, clean and very comfortable. Bluebell House itself is a 5 minute walk from the city centre and just a 10 minute drive to Loch Ness. Oh, and the breakfast is fantastic. I will definately go back.

We stayed in the Bluebell for two nights in mid-September. We had changed travel arrangements and required accommodation in Inverness on short notice and thus happened to come across the Bluebell.
The B&B is in a convenient location, a short walk from the town center.
We stayed in the Bluebell room, a spacious room with very busy floral and a multitude of other patterns and decorations. The ensuite room is equipped with TV/DVD and jug. The king size bed is very comfortable. Facing the road I found the room rather noisy, my husband did not mind though.
The breakfast was the standard 'artery clogging' highland fare.
Free Wifi and off-road parking are available.
I would rate it '3' (satisfactory = meeting expectations), my husband was very happy with the place, so we decided to rate it '4'.
