Just stayed at Glen Druidh house Hotel for a New Year break. Hotel is spotlessly clean and room was lovely but with a sofa and chairs so small an average sized person would barely be able to fit on them and was therefore not at all comfortable. Food is freshly cooked and tasty but quite overpriced at £33 for dinner with a very limited menu. We ordered what we wanted for dinner at 6.30pm (understandable for a small place) and we were told dinner would be served at 8 o'clock PROMPT.
Breakfast(even on New Years Day) was between 8-9am !!! - a bit unfair if you intended to stay up to see in the New Year. We went down for breakfast at 8.55 and the owner seemed not too pleased we left it until last minute and stood in the corner of the dining room while we ate just waiting to take the plates away when we were finished! We felt we had to talk in whispers. We were going out for the day but were told we would need to be back at 6.30 to order that nights dinner. When we asked if we could just order it after breakfast we were told that they didn't know what it was then!! A bit strange as even if everything is cooked fresh they must know in the morning what is for dinner!! There is a small bar also rather overpriced. We would not recommend this hotel for a New Year Break as it is very very quiet and we felt quite uncomfortable and not very welcome at all. Disappointing to say the least.
