“Fantastic place”

Distant Hills Guest House

1 Jun 2007

We stayed at Distant Hills for two nights as a base for a trip on the Fort William to Mallaig steam train. The food was amazing - would thoroughly recommend booking in for dinner as well as the fabulous breakfast. But what really sets this place apart is the wonderful, warm hospitality from Peter and Lesley.

Thoroughly recommended!

Just returned from a smashing holiday and a pleasant stay at this Guest House , welcomed by two lovely hosts Peter and Lesley.
Very friendly, caring and hospitable and always ready to please. Great food, you will not go hungry here!!!!
Set in the heart of the highlands, so really great views of the mountains and landscape.

Found lots to do, however a week is not long enough.
Could'nt fault it. Really enjoyed our stay.

Will definately be going back for more....

If you want a relaxing and carefree holiday, this is the place to go. A small friendly guest house, good sized bedrooms and lovely lounge, which looks onto a large garden overlooking the mountains.
Breakfasts to die for.. ..with plenty of variety and ample proportions.
Peter and Lesley (mine hosts) made us very welcome, a definite home from home!!

Peter and Lesley McIntosh,
Distant Hills Guest House, Spean Bridge, Inverness-shire. PH34 4EU

Both my wife and I were off to Fort Augustus for me to do the Corrieyairack Challenge; a bit late to go the full journey so stopped off with Peter and Lesley. I have to say that their hospitality and friendliness were just the greatest way for me to feed up , 'hydrate', and chill out before the following day's challenge.
Spean Bridge is a super spot , and at a key junction going East , West or North - lots to do and in the thick of some great secenery and access to mountains.

We highly recommend a stay over and Peter and Lesley bring a warmth and easiness about their lodgings. We'll be back , Denis and Mary Bell, north Glasgow
