My wife and I stayed for 2 nights at the end of feb.
the room was the" city of perth" suite, it had everything you could want tv ,dvd ,cable, stereoetc.
the bathroom was enormous and beautifully kitted out,the jacuzzi bath was a favourite.
The view from the window is straight onto the park ,lovely.
We had dinner in the Bistro and it was an absolute treat to eat food made by someone who obviously loves cooking to perfection, that was one of my all time meals ,excellent.
The hotel staff were friendly and it all made for a great relaxing stay. Many thanks.

We arrived and was greeted by a very friendly receptionist,
and our bedroom was large with a spacious ensuite. However, the `double' bed was 2 singles pushed together and was an extremely uncomfortable bed with poor quality pillows, non existent fillings!

We were both looking forward to our Scottish breakfast on the first morning, however, it was non inspiring. Fruit selection consisted of a fresh fruit bowl, however, there were also frozen berries that were half defrosted and a big bowl of olives! On ordering bacon and eggs (which took quite a long time to come, although there was only us and another couple in the restaurant) when it arrived the bacon was fatty and swimming in grease (it had been ordered crispy), and the toast was poor quality bread which disintegrated when you bit into it.

Overall poor quality food. Safe to say we didn't bother with breakfast on our 2nd morning.

The main problem was on our 2nd evening there was a function on during the evening, and for about an hour and half from 11pm the noise which came from the floor below as people were leaving was incredible. Sleep was not possible.

The staff were all very helpful and friendly but for £125 per night and the lack of quality, we will not be staying there again.

What a lovely little hotel! My husband and I stayed here in a superior room for one night and were delighted with the room and quality of service. We have stayed in many 4 and 5 star hotels and were extremely impressed by this little gem. We simply took a chance and booked on the internet without knowing much and we certainly hit the jackpot here! Our room was very big with an extremely comfortable bed and a flat screen TV. The bathroom was lovely with quality products available. We didnt' eat here but given the standard of breakfast will next time. When we returned home we immediately booked again for our next trip. The location was excellent, overlooking a lovely park in a quiet area but only a five minute walk from the city centre. If you are going to stay in Perth stay here!!

Whilst we are surrounded with change, often at bewildering speed, many seek havens of reliability and tradition. Thus we were concerned that one of Perth's beacons of stability, The Parklands, had changed "hands". What to do, go to a large anonymous change or give the new regime a chance?

Changes there certainly have been but they have all been for the good. Comfort and a warm, sincere welcome, even for an aged Labrador remain. The food, both in what was the Bistro and in the Acanthus Restaurant are first class - complemented by a good selection of wine and efficient but unobtrusive service. In the Sprind and Summer it is relaxing to sit on the Terrace and enjoy the views over the garden and parkland - an oasis of tranquility close to the heart of a bustling town.

Perth can be proud that this Hotel which is even better than before - warmly recommended.

Firstly an excellent location for one staying in the beautiful city of Perth with the station just around the corner (no worries about noise), car hire firm around the corner (Arnold Clark), the beautiful park within a couple of minutes walk and the town centre within five minutes walk.
I booked the superior rooms which were delightful with all the expected requirements supplied and the two rooms I booked being large in size with modern fitted bathrooms.
The food served in the both restaurants was excellent - a real delight in a relaxed atmosphere - first class food.
The staff were extremely helpful and polite.
My only niggle would be that at times in the evening I found the restaurant and lounge a little bit cold.
A really enjoyable week.
