We decided to go to Perth because we knew that the autumn trees would be wonderful there at this time of year. The hotel itself had wonderful old trees throughout the grounds and was nicely situated 4/5 miles away from Perth so was very quiet. There was a Wedding on but it caused very little disruption to our stay.

We were looking to escape the city for a night and this was ideal. The food and service was excellent, especially at breakfast where the stornoway black pudding is a must. The room itself was good and spacious though a little dated for our tastes. The shower was very good.

The deal we got through Expedia was very good at £159 for dinner, bed and breakfast and was better than the deal offered directly by the hotel.

The only complaints we had were that the bed itself was very uncomfy as it was two single beds together which was a shame as the rest of the room was great. Our only other wee complaint was that our room was very close to reception and as result there was quite a bit of noise but I suppose that this could have been because we booked so late.

All in all a good experience (and fantastic autumn trees).

We had our wedding at this hotel in August 07 and the staff and location were fantastic. The service was great as was the food and the hotel facilities. Every detail was attended to. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. I travel to Perth on business regularly (at least once a month) and always book this hotel. I love staying here. The restaurant is superb although they should buy a toaster that cooks toast evenly - rather than one side burtn and the other very pale. Other than that - you won't find a better hotel in Perth.

Very poor. The beds are uncomfy and the room i was given was very dark and there was a lot of noise from the kitchen fan. I expected more for what I was paying. The food is overpriced and the restaurant staff act as though you are just an inconvienience to them.
From what I have heard there is a very high turn over of staff and it does show in the way you are treated.
I will not be staying here again.

Great water pressure! So, shower was wonderful. Room was large - we stayed in Room 401 on the first floor.

Bed - OK for me. Hubby found uncomfortable - it appears that they were two twin beds attached together leaving a stiff section where they met.

Skeleton key to get into room. But, you can't just leave the room b/c the door won't lock automatically behind you - must turn and lock the door.

Grounds are lovely - baby ducks and nice stream right outside dining room. Staff was very friendly - gave numerous tips about local places to visit.

Dinner and breakfast were both nice. Breakfast consisted of cold cereals, fruit salad, yogurt and a couple of hot choices. Dinner was three course fixed menu and very tasty.

Staff willingly secured taxis and recommended dining options for our second night at the hotel.

Parking plentiful, free and on-site.

My daughter, two grandchildren and I arrived at the hotel rather late. The host had readied our room for the four of us and waited until we arrived. Great service. Room and breakfast were fine.
We appreciated the extra effort for service at this hotel.
