Ok, lets get the bad thing out of the way, the central heating doesnt work in room 26, but thats the only bad thing i can come up with.
The food is amongst the best i have ever tasted in any restaruant let alone a hotel restaurant. The dining room is very intimate, with the tables reasonably spaced so you werent having to whisper. there were also 5 waiting staff for approx 20 table. Breakfast is buffet style but there is still the same level of service and the food was fresh plus there was a wide selection. We had drinks first in the bar which has lovely sofas and armchairs and a huge log fire. In addition to the main bar there is a whisky bar which is a tiny snug filled wall to wall with whisky bottles.
The place also has that typically scottish feel without being having a cheapy "tartan everywhere" look. Check out their website which is also well organised.
One other thing, its in Kinloch Rannoch, not Pitlochry which is about 30 mins drive.
