Reviewer : An average holiday maker.
I have just spent five days at the Rosemount Hotel, and being, what could be described as an older person, I appreciated the lack of noise at night. The hotel is a distance from the center of Pitlochry and as the name suggests, up a hill.
The room was very clean, as was the bathroom, but could have done with being a bit larger. Breakfast was very good with porridge and a selection of cereals with bacon, eggs, and all the usual trimmings.
The evening meal, whilst the food being nothing fancy but good, suffered from, in my humble opinion, a shortage of staff resulting in slow service. Some people like a break between courses but the starters were slow to arrive and the wait between courses a little too long.
The staff were mostly very friendly, polite and eager to please. I enjoyed my short stay and the hotel was generally quite good, but did fall down now and again.
On the whole I would recomend this hotel and would not hesitate in going again.
