Stayed one night here. Super location, friendly helpful staff and great food. Highly recommended.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are totally comfotable lounges relaxing and food excellent. Many staff have been there long term which saysa a lot about management
My mother stayed at the Greenpark hotel as one of an organised group of bridge players. The group stayed at the hotel for 5 days at the end of November 2010. Despite very challenging weather conditions the hotel did everything possible to support their guests. My mother (as seasoned traveller) had nothing but good things to say about this hotel, from the comfort of the rooms to the fine quality of the food (including the home baking which was available to guests at all times). However, her best compliment is reserved for the quality of customer service. This is illustated by the fact that she did not notice that she was missing her (very expensive) digital hearing aid until she arrived home (she thought she had placed it in her purse when the battery gave up). The hearing aid is tiny and she thought that she had no chance of it being found. I called the hotel who searched the room (including moving furniture) They found the hearing aid and posted it back to my mother. As there was very heavy snow in the area a trip to the post office to ensure it could be sent by registered mail was certainly "going the extra mile". Despite us offering to pay the cost of the postage the hotel said they would cover it. Many thanks to the terrific staff and management at the Greenpark hotel.
My wife and I stayed here for five nights in September 2010. Two friends from Glasgow who had recommended the hotel joined us for two nights. Its a bit like being at home. All the staff treat you like a member of the family and go out of the way to make you at ease. Most of the guests are repeat vistors and it is easy to see why they keep going back. All the rooms are slightly different but all have a view of the Loch next to the hotel. The tariff is simple. Dinner, Bed & Breakfast is the only choice.
Breakfast is awesome with several tables displaying cereals, pastries and rolls, fresh and dried fruit along with a healthy selection. A menu of cooked items is also available and you are free to mix and match as you wish. You can of course have your porridge served with a measure of whiskey. Tea and coffee is availble in the lounge all day and about 3pm cakes and biscuits also appear. Pre dinner sherry is available at no additional cost every evening as well. Dinner is a four course selection and changes every night. Meals are well balanced and exceedingly good. Some items such as steak carry a supplement. The wine choice is also good and the prices are very reasonable.
The only negative thing I can think of is that we were probably the youngest guests there and we are in our mid sixties. Not that this is a problem just dont expect late social gatherings in the evenings around the bar and lounge. Most nights these are deserted by 10pm. In fact one night when we were chatting in the lounge the staff asked us to turn the lights off when we went to bed.
We will go back but must remember to book about 6 months ahead.
