After visiting several restaurants in the Pitlochry area during our stay, we decided to drive to Logierait Inn on our last night, regardless of the rain in mid May. Having been before, our expectations were high. With an early booking we were first there, so had a chance to enjoy the quiet peace that slowly disappeared as our fellow diners arrived & went through the "what shall we have" ritual. The premises are immaculate inside & out, a real credit to the owners. The menu, though not elaborate is quite varied, and has a range of dishes that would suit most people. Our orders were taken promptly & drinks arrived in minutes. The smoked salmon pate was delicious, as were our mains of a beef pot roast & a pork escalope which both came with vegetables & a creamy mash. Good food is what we went for & got, but the real beauty of the Logierate Inn is surely the people? Quiet efficiency & pleasant smiles seem to be the the order of the day. Long may it continue.
