A lovely hotel - beautifully situated and peaceful, though very convenient for the main street. We only stayed for one night, but hope to return. The room was lovely, with a very comfortable bed and breakfast was phenomenal! The staff were all very friendly and helpful, even to the extent of letting us put our bicycles in their shed. A first class experience overall.

One of the best places we've stayed during our travell across Scotland. Very friendly and cozy. Tasty breakfast and comfy room. Well located in Pitlochry. Pity they don't serve dinners.

We've just spent 4 nights at Wellwood House and it's a really warm and friendly place to stay. Jim & Maggie are great hosts. The house is full of character, very clean and organised to ensure the guests feel at home! Our en-suite room was very comfortable, and clean. The breakfast a first class start to the day. Jim advised certain routes for our day's out which certainly helped us see the real Scotland, it's stunning. Fantastic value for money.

My husband and I had a wonderful time at Wellwood. We were part of a large party and took over half of the rooms. Because we arrived (9.30am) the rooms weren't of course ready but the staff couldn't have been more understanding and allowed us to wait in the lounge for the rest of our party to come.

The rooms were really spotless - and from our being there when the morning cleaning was going on we could see how the whole staff throw themselves into making sure the Wellwood remains really clean.

We got a great service for our money and it rated way up there with other hotels and guest houses in our tour around the area. We got some great tips from the owners about where to visit and would have missed out on some of the most spectacular scenery in the area in lady's view.

And thank god for a large choice in breakfast! I didn't have to have the infamous Scottish grill and had my pick of healthy fruit and cereal - didn't stop my better half from going down the bacon sausage, haggis route again!

Would recommend Wellwood House as a home from home. it's not a boutique hotel but its really comfortable, welcoming. Our daughter and friend went up to stay there when she went to a wedding in the next town - they went for one of the cheaper rooms but said the same about the service.
