We (me and my mum) only decided the week before to go away for the night at Easter and found this on the laterooms.com website and decided to go here (not many places were available for the Saturday) as it looked really nice.

We arrived on time for check-in the owners were lovely, we checked in and were shown to our room which was just as the pictures show on their website. The room had everything you needed and the en-suite bathroom was gorgeous. The grounds of the b&b are also really nice you do feel as if you are in middle of nowhere. Even better when we woke the next morning to see everywhere covered in snow it was beautiful.

Breakfast here is really good, choice of cereal, porridge, fruit juices, then you choose something from the menu for after your cereal, mum had smoked salmon and scrambled egg and loved it, I had toast which consisted of white bread, brown bread, raisin bread and I think sweet bread.

All in all wish we had stayed for the 2 nights instead of 1 great value for money I think and would recommend to others too.

“An excellent B&B just outside Pitlochry.”

Dalshian House

An excellent B&B just outside Pitlochry. We recieved a warm and friendly welcome by the owners who ensured our stay was a happy one. The room we had was first class, very comfortable and very clean. Breakfast set us up for the day, everything from fresh fruit to a full cooked breakfast was available, not to mention the homemade jams and marmalades. Great stay, we will be back.

“Welcoming hosts and lovely breakfast”

We were staying in Pitlochry for a short break while visiting the Enchanted Forest (on in the Autumn only, book in advance, esp good for kids), and most of the hotels were booked already. We happened upon the website for the Dalshian guest house and were lucky to find they had a vacancy. The Dalshian has recently changed hands and the new owners are planning to refurbish the rooms as they are needing a bit of TLC. That said our family room was very spacious had lovely views over its wooded grounds which looked as if they would be nice to stroll in (the Dalshian is in the country about 1 mile from the town of Pitlochry) and was spotlessly clean. A couple of minor repairs were needed and we brought those to the owners attention. There is a welcoming lounge for residents, feels like a small country house hotel. There was some homemade shortbread and tea/coffee etc in our rooms. The breakfast was lovely, all freshly prepared and a good choice of cooked breakfast. Plenty of toast and fresh tea/coffee. The toast was made with homemade bread also. As it was cold a real fire had been lit in the breakfast room. Thoroughly recommended and wish the new proprietors all the best in their new venture.

    • Disliked — Rooms need to be refurbished, but plans have been made to do this

stayed in room 3 for weekend, very spacious and large bathroom. Friendly owners. Room and bedding new looking and everything clean and dust free.

The best breakfast I have ever had in a B&B. There's nothing like a good quality cooked breakfast before going for a walk. My wife enjoyed the homemade jams, lemon curd and freshly made breads.

Arrived at B&B, 3 hours early to check in. Very friendly owners took in our luggage whilst we went into Pitlochry.

Lovely room, very spacious. Walk in wardrobe, very comfortable bed, lovely bathroom. Gorgeous views outside.

Tea/Coffee facilities with home-made cookies.

Very nice breakfast, very friendly owners - hospitatilty very good.
