The hotel relies on its trade as a restaurant, however it lacks one or two things as a hotel, my room was large the bed comftable and the room was clean the bathroom was large but no bath (this did not bother me) however on two occasions I had cold showers I was told this was due to the boiler cutting out and was an ongoing problem if they knew this then why not sort it out,
Breakfast was from 8am sorry but if you are working then this is not early enough sometimes the staff arrived at 8am in the morning and therefore the breakfast room was not ready also I had to return to my room to use the toilet as downstairs was locked until the manager arrived!
My room was over the entrance and the only way of keeping the sash window open was with a large stone supplied, god knows what would have happened if this had fallen out.
I had booked DBB but my bill was wrong on leaving as they had charged me for 5 dinners for a 4 night stay
On the positive side the food was very good and the staff all very freindly the hotel is well located just a 3 minute walk from Ayr beach
