My husband and I spent 3 nights at the Creag-Ard House on Loch Ard in Aberfoyle during our honeymoon, and we greatly enjoyed our stay. The house itself is quite charming and our room was just lovely. The location, right on Loch Ard just one mile outside of Aberfoyle was beautiful and relaxing and there were lots of great walks right from the house. Cara, the owner was very friendly and helpful, and we also met a really nice family from the Manchester area while we were there. The Trossachs is a great place for hiking and Creag-Ard was a great base to explore it from. We would happily recommend it to anyone planning a visit to the Trossachs National Park.

Our three- day stay at Craig-Ard House was wonderful. It's a beautiful home with an outstanding view of Loch Ard. The most magical woodland walk begins just outside the door.

Quiet, picturesque, gorgeous views and gracious hospitality.

My wife and I absolutely loved this B & B. We haven't stayed in a B & B for decades, prefering hotels/motels. This is a lovely, stone house. We found the bedroom to be comfortable and large. It should be pointed out that we were lucky enough to get the large, front room, with the spectacular view of the loch and wooded area. Ask for this room although it will cost a bit more. We loved walking around the lake, which we did twice. Cara, the Innkeeper, is warm, accommodating, and positive. Breakfast was very good, as well. Our mistake was only booking this B & B for one night. Next time, we will certainly stay longer. If you like to walk/hike, there are many possibilities closeby.

After a full week of travelling throughout Scotland I have to say that Creag-Ard House was the best place we stayed. Absolutely marvelous views of the lake and mountains. The hospitality we recieved was top-notch, as was the breakfast. The bedroom was average, probably because we booked late and took the last room; otherwise I would give 5 stars. I would recommend Creag-Ard to anyone travelling through the area to stay there. For 60 GBP (2 persons), it is a superb value!
