“Wonderful Staff and Location”

I recently stayed at the Mont Clare for 7 nights. The staff was friendly and accomodating. One of our non-smoking rooms was smoky, the staff attempted to air out the room but the room was still smoky. Since we were travelling with teenagers, we wanted to stay on the same floor and were upgraded to a jr. suite.
If all possible, try to have the breakfast included with your room, as there are not many breakfast places nearby.
The location was within walking distance of Trinity College, Grafton Street and St. Stephens Green. O'Connell Street is a bit of a hike but a 7 -9 Euro cab ride away..
If site seeing, a multi-day hop on, hop off pass will serve you well with a stop right off Merrion Square.
Will stay here again on my next trip to Dublin.

“Lovely hotel”

O'Callaghan Mont Clare Hotel

My wife and myself stayed at the Mont Clare last weekend and thoroughly enjoyed it. It's a hotel with the feel of a gentleman's club, all wood panelling etc. Friendly staff checked us in and the room was a nice size with all mod-cons. Only one gripe, only one side of the bed had a table. A decent sized bathroom was a nice change too.
The adjoining bar/pub was busy and the staff pleasant and prompt serving.
All in all a good stay.

“Great location”

we booked this hotel with ryan air website, we toook the Aero airport bus which stops just around the corner from the Hotel, make sure you allow more time on the return journey to the airport as the bus picks up throughout town on the return.

We found the hotel to be central and convenient to all the tourist spots, the accomodation was clean and comfortable with plenty of available tourist information, the staff helpful and approachable.

Stayed for 2 nights and had no problems at all. We arrived early, they held our bags until check-in. It was pouring, they gave us umbrellas for the duration of our trip. The Aero Bus stops on the corner, St. Stephen's Green is close as is Trinity College. A great alternative to staying in the more densely crowded areas. Would definitely stay again!

Tip: For a real pub experience, look for Brogans on Dame Street. Not as flashy as the Temple Bar pubs, but a true gathering spot for locals and friendly barkeeps.

“Central and welcoming”

O'Callaghan Mont Clare Hotel

Istayed in the Mont Clare Hotel recently for one night and found the staff and accommodation to be very good. I booked directly with the hotel, the staff asked what sort of room I wanted and I requested a room that was quiet as I had an important meeting to attend the following day. I was also told when I booked that if I arrived before the check in time I could leave my baggage with the Porter if my room wasn’t ready. When I checked in the staff were welcoming and helpful with information about directions, taxis etc. My room was well furnished and warm, the bed comfortable and the room was very quiet. I was offered a taxi as I settled my bill next morning and it arrived very promptly despite rush hour traffic. This hotel is ideal if you want a central location in Dublin, close to cultural amenities, shopping and restaurants.
