Spent one night at this hotel. Our first room was an attic room with a skylight that had no blind or curtain, it felt very claustrophobic. The receptionist was very happy to allocate another room to us which was much better. I had forgotten about the comments about the church bells in other reviews and this room was at the front directly opposite the church. The room was very hot indeed so we had three windows open all night so the bells were very loud . Fortunately neither myself or my husband were bothered by them, I actually like to hear them so it wasn't a problem,
The bed was very firm and comfortable so we both had a good night's sleep after a tiring day of travelling.
The room itself was basic but was very clean and there was a plug by a mirror (a necessity in my book). The shower was great - it would have been useful to have had a shelf to put toiletries on, as it was we had to put our toiletry bags on the floor.
As we were spending the day in Dublin the receptionist very kindly looked after our cases for us which was a great help.
We parked overnight at the Christ Church car park which is just a short distance away. The hotel has a deal with them so it only cost us 14.40 Euro
The only disappointment we had at this hotel was with the breakfast. I had the poached eggs and bacon with toast, the eggs were like bullets, the toast was burnt on one side and the bacon had obviously been reheated and was like cardboard. My husband had the full breakfast and left most of it. The coffee was tasteless. We did tell a member of staff who said she would inform the chef but she didn't seem particularly concerned.
All in all, for the money we paid and the great location, the accommodation was excellent value for money and we would definitely stay here again if visiting Dublin but we would eat elsewhere,
If you don't like church bells chiming the hour and half hour through the night, book a rear roo...

Thank you for taking the time to post a review of the Harding Hotel after your recent stay while visiting Dublin.
All guest feedback is gratefully received and it enables us to improve our standards and offer even better levels of service and care to all our guests.
I was glad to hear that the second room offered was more to your liking and that you had a comfortable nights sleep.
A lot of guests do find the bell noise to be relaxing and enjoyable and some find it annoying - we do suggest those who do not wish to hear the bells ask to be allocated at the rear of the building.
The room on the fifth floor originally allocated has a skylight which does have a blackout blind which would slide up and down, but no curtain as you have pointed out.
I was saddened to hear that you did not enjoy your breakfast and will raise the issues you have highlighted to improve the breakfast quality and make the meal tastier.
I am glad that you found the Harding Hotel's location to be so convenient, the staff to be friendly and that you felt there was good value for money, despite the breakfast issue.
I would be very happy to welcome you back to the Harding Hotel, hopefully in the near future, and we will hopefully be able to offer you an improved level of care and attention for your accommodation and dining needs.
With best regards,
