We ended up at the Hotel St George after wondering the city of Dublin looking for a hotel for hours. The hotel staff was great! They let us look at the rooms before we decided on the ones we wanted. There were 6 of us traveling together and the rooms we selected had 3 individual twin beds in them, a really neat feature. I have NEVER seen a bathroom as clean as the ones in this hotel. They were tiny but spotless!! There was a small bar in the hotel lobby that had friendly service and great beer (lets face it all the beer in Ireland is great) The only problem we had was when we got up at 5:00am to catch a flight we had no hot water. Evidently they turn off non necessary electricity at night. So the boiler was not on. We asked the night porter if he could turn it on so we could take a quick shower, but he did not know how to. We could have taken a cold shower but it was about 40 degrees in Ireland in April!! So we boarded a plane for a 10 hour trip without a shower…yikes!! This still is a great hotel and I can not wait till I go back.
