After reading many of the hit or miss reviews, we decided to stay here to catch an early flight to Italy rather than negotiating Dublin traffic. We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel - the rooms were large and clean and the bed comfortable - a bit on the spare side in terms of decor but we very much enjoyed our stay.

At check-in, the very professional and courteous Bronagh (hope I spelled that right!) suggested dinner in nearby Malahide after we asked what fun was nearby - it turned out to be one of our favorite dinners in Ireland. She is quite an asset to the hotel and clearly is suited for her industry.

As we only stayed one evening, I can't speak to the restaurant's quality or price. The only suggestion that I can provide is that the lobby should be a bit more warmly decorated - it's rather large and a bit coldly modern (and I am a fan of modern aesthetics as my reviews always note!). I would definitely stay here again were I to need a place close to the Dublin airport.

I would like to start my review by saying how wonderful my experience was at this hotel. The location is super as i had an early flight the following morning and the 24 hour shuttle service is a wonderful idea! although i had an early start I had a lovely coffee and cearal bar to start my day-completely free of charge!
I understand the hotel has just been refurbished and the lobby is stunning, with marble floor and equisite lighting-great first impression!
smiling staff to greet me at reception made me feel instanly welcome.
My room was lovely, tastefully decorated with comfortable pillows and crisp clean bed linen-free movies and internet was a great bonus!
Compliments to the chef in the restaurant - the meal was superb and very reasonable-lots of choice and a great "irish welcome".
another bonus is the snug traditional pub with a top notch guiness!
I dont see how any one could have a negative experience at this hotel as I will definately be back and recommend this brand to all my friends and family!

got married on 29 feb 2008 , it was a small affair but the staff at this hotel went out of their way to give us what we wanted. philly and naimh thank you very much you were terrific. The chef opened the resturant early and made us a fabulous meal of veg. soup ,roast beef turkey and ham, and apple pie with custard for dessert, all of which were mouth watering, and i would like to thank the chef and all the waiting staff who looked after us so well. Our room in the hotel was a business class room with walk in wardrobe bath robes , slippers , coffee and tea making and was really big . it was spotlessly clean and very comfortable . Breakfast next morning was beauiful with plenty of everything on offer. to sum up , this hotel is really clean and comfortable , the staff are great , the food is really good and its a great location .

Hotel has a renovated entrance which I understand has been incomplete for some time.

The lobby area is very shabby, stained and dirty furniture, poor choice of dining, and the service generally is dreadful. Except breakfast. A couple of older staff in there giving the real traditional Irish welcome.

Room was old, shabby and tired. No particularly bad noise from the airport which is pretty much right outside.

Rate was very high, convenience at the airport means you pay another 80 euro.

Stay at the Crowne Plaza, Carlton, Hilton - all within 20 mins of the airport.

Oh, and the mini bus pick up from the airport is efficient although the bus does have bald front tyres.
