Don't get me wrong, the location is fantastic but that's all the positive!!!
I arrived early in the morning (9ish) and asked if i could check in and drop my bag. i showed the girl in reception my online booking confirmation (direct from the hotel website). i was told that the room i was booked in was not ready and was offered a single room instead (i had booked a twin/double) but as i was not going to be staying in the room for long, i agreed.
I shouldn't have had - the room was a cold cupboard at the back of the hotel, the toilet seat wouldn't stay in place and the the TV did not work. When i call reception, i was told someone would be there straight away. it was an hour before i decide to leave the room and no one had showed up yet.
I went off to do what i was in Dublin for and when i returned at 22.00, my room key did not work so i went to reception to be told that my room had been locked as they did not have any paperwork for the check in!!! not what you need when all you want to do is go to bed!!!!
needless to say that i was not too impressed with that comments especially when it was pre booked and pre-paid!!! this got sorted in the end (had to show all the info again) but did not get an apology or anything for the inconvenience. When i finally went back to the room, it was still cold but i was too tired to care. however, going to sleep proved quite difficult due to the noise outside - not the fault of the hotel, but still really noisy.
on check out, i was ask how my stay was but when i proceeded to explain all the above, the man in reception shrugged and didn;t bother listening. so again, not impressed. i'll be thinking twice about staying there again.

We appreciate your patience and time for the review of our hotel. Being located amidst the busy streets and central locale of Dublin, Dublinciti Hotel has a lot of advantages coupled with some disadvantageous. The weekends tend to be noisy due to the crowd on the streets as well in the night club attached to our hotel. The weekdays are much calmer. Being an old and historic hotel, we have done our best to equip the rooms with all the facilities. Each floor has its own WLAN router for speed and connectivity. Our kitchens provide one of the best 'Full Irish Breakfasts' along with a new menu with alternatives for breakfast. We at Dublinciti Hotel are trying our best to better the amenities in our hotel.
