I booked 3 rooms for 6 adults on lastminute.com. As this was a special surprise weekend away for one of our party I called about a month before the holiday to request good rooms on high floors. When we arrive we were informed that we had all been upgraded to suites, one of the rooms being number 1600, possibly the best room in the hotel as it is on the top floor, on the corner, has a balcony on 2 sides of the room, and looks over the park. The staff in the hotel were very pleasant. The hotel bar / restaurant was very comfortable and not noisy at all. Prices of the drinks / food were high.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting very comfortable accommodation in a superb location in Dublin.
Bewleys on Grafton street proved to be the best place for breakfast.

“Location, location!”

Just returned home after 4 nights at the Stephens Green Hotel. While the hotel is listed as a 4 star establishment, I think what it really means is 3 stars for the accomodations (rooms and hotel) and 5 for the excellent location. The hotel is ideally situated near Grafton Street, etc., placed at a quiet corner on the SW side of St. Stephens Green Park.

We had everything we needed at the hotel, though things do appear a bit tired. We didn't eat at any of the hotel restaurants, though we did enjoy room service breakfast on our last morning (we split a full Irish breakfast to offset the 20Euro cost!) Many restaurants and much shopping is nearby. Also, a taxi rank, the Green line Luas, and frequent bus service make it easy to get around Dublin (and beyond). We took advantage of the Aircoach to get us to and from the airport and found that service well worth the price.

We never had to wait for the elevator to our 6th floor room and always found the front desk staff to be friendly and helpful. Our room was freshened nicely each day and the beds were very comfortable.

This was our 7th visit to Dublin, and the first time we stayed in this hotel or area. We would choose the Stephens Green again, specifically for its location. Of course, it would be nice if the room rate was lower to reflect the building's 3 star quality, but again - the location may well be worth the premium!!

Spent one night here on business. Location perfect for city centre. Was surprised at the high cost of wifi in rooms - not acceptable in this day. Did not eat in hotel. Would not have a problem with staying here again but it would not entice me if it was a non-business stay.

I found out about this hotel here in Trip Advisor. I was going to book another hotel and many Trip Advisor fellow posters told me to choose this are, Stephen's Green, and they were not mistaken. It's the perfect starting point to explore Dublin. We were only one/two blocks away from what seems to be one of the meeting points in Dublin, where Grafton St. starts, just opposite Stephen Green's Park. The hotel is very nice, not quite a 4-star, but a very good 3. The bed was king size, the bathroom impecable, lcd tv, ironing board, coffee/tea machine in the room, which had a very good size and cupboard. We had a standard room and it was perfect, don't know about the others but the size was ok for a couple, I wouldn't advise you to pay an extra charge for anything bigger. The gym was well equipped and there is a business centre in the basement, although you had to pay a fee to use it. I hope they change this policy in the future. Internet access in hotels of this category should be free. Breakfast was expensive: Euros 16 per person, but there are plenty of cafes nearby, where you can have a great b-fast for Euros 5. There is also a nice bar downstairs where you can watch a rugby match or have a drink, even grab sthg to eat at reasonable prices. The staff members were nice but would not go over the edge to help you. I needed an adaptor for my plugs, for instance, but no one could help me with this, not even telling me where I could get one myself. However, I highly recommend this hotel for its comfort, cleanliness and, overall, its PERFECT LOCATION !

We stayed here for 3 nights, and I have to say I was pleasently suprised. The hotel is clean and modern, with all the facilities you would expect in your room. For a 4 star the lack of Spa/pool was a disappointment, but the friendly and very helpful staff more than made up for this.

The hotel is on Stephens Green which is an ideal location for sightseeing and nights out. There was a bit of noise on Saturday night as the main nightclubs in the area are down the street so when people came out of them they were a bit rowdy, but this soon died down.
