When we told people we were staying in Ballymun, eyebrows were raised & all said to be careful that the area was not safe. We did not walk around the area, but that was because we were had plans outside the city - so I don't know what the area was like. There is an apartment building that shares the same parking lot. If you get rooms on that side you get views of their balconies & into their apartments. We only stayed one night & it was fine. Beds okay; Shower hot with nice water pressure & first hotel we stayed in that had one faucet in the sink instead of separate hot & cold! A real plus. Took advantage of the shuttle to the airport - nice feature. The front desk staff very nice. Would recommend the hotel but only for short stays.
