Very well run Hotel with friendly helpful staff. It's only a 5 minute drive from the Airport and has a large undercover car park, which you do have to pay extra to park in.
Rooms were very clean and they offered a very nice continental breakfast.
I enjoyed my brief stay here.

This is one of the better hotels I've ever stayed in. Clean, modern, secure, quiet (didn't hear any airplane noiose) with a free shuttle to and from the airport. They even have flight information display (with "departures" and "arrivals") TV screens in the lobby so you can see if you plane is coming on time.

The hotel was perfect for my early morning flight. The continental breakfast, which is quite delicious and plentiful, is served starting at 6 am. There is not a restaurant on site, but I am told there is one next door at the Crowne Plaza.

The room was great. It was large (by European standards), clean, and even felt "hip". This hotel makes an effort to be environmentally-friendly, which I appreciate (i.e. LED reading lamps, they will only change your linens in the morning on request, you must plug in key to keep room lights on).

We weren't staying for very long, but our interactions with the front desk staff were pleasant. The only con is suppose is that this place is not centrally located in Dublin. Stay here only if you need to be close to the airport--don't use it as a home base for Dublin siteseeing.

We took a side trip to Scotland and stayed here on either side of the trip. The hotel is relatively new, very clean and the rooms are big enough to be quite comfortable. The staff, while slow at times, made up for it by coming to our room to confirm we had received our wake up call. We checked a bag and left a camera in the safe deposit box at no charge. The only flaw was the TV driven internet access did not work and they declined to remove the charge from the bill.

There is no food at the Express, but it is right next door to the Crowne Plaza which has a very good restaurant. The summer squash and coconut soup may well be worth the trip from Dublin. Speaking of which, it is a stretch to say this hotel is on the airport, It is a 10 to 15 minute drive from the airport. The shuttle bus has a strange schedule, especially in the afternoon, and the cab drivers are NOT happy about taking you to the hotel. On the plus side, it sits on a quiet side street.

We had two one-night stays at the HI Express this month, and both times we were delighted with the staff, rooms, breakfast, and shuttle service. As the other reviews attest, this hotel is great for those catching a flight at Dublin airport. Local bus service into town is very regular, and the bus stop is only a minute's walk from the hotel. Do be warned that all beds are doubles -- very small by American standards. We overheard Americans arguing with the staff, saying they had booked a king bed. If you like your personal sleeping space, you won't find those big beds here. A reservation tip: This hotel has amazing rates on its web site from time to time. We booked very far in advance, and by choosing to pre-pay our room (non-refundable in the event of a cancellation), we got a rate of just 71e per night.
