My friend and I stayed here for a weekend, the staff are very friendly and welcoming we arrived after eleven on a Friday night.

Although they had no non-smoking rooms left they did say if we
had any problems with the room they would move us for the next night.

Breakfast was very good and plenty of it, sausage, egg ,bacon etc, cereal, toast, fruit etc all were in plenty, I would recommend this hotel to anyone we had a great stay here. Five minutes walk to O'Connell Street where airport bus drops off.

Just returned from a 2 night midweek break to Dublin. Stayed at the Comfort Inn Granby Row and was very impressed. Check-in staff were all very friendly and helpful and although we arrived at 12pm we were allowed to go straight to our room (418). Room was very clean and new looking with lovely furnishings - quite boutique in style. Also very quite considering it was in the corner by a busy road. In room complimentary internet access which proved very useful in looking for a restaurant. Bathroom spotless with a great power shower - just what you need after a hard day exploring Dublin. Hotel approx 15 mins walk from Temple Bar area, close to several shopping centres and just a couple of minutes walk from the homeward Airlink bus stop - very useful at 6am.
Highly recommend a tour of the Guiness Storehouse - book before you travel and get a online discount and enjoy a complimentary pint of Guiness from a bar with 360 deg view of the city. Spent 2 hours there quite easily. This was quite a walk from the hotel - 50 mins gentle stroll along the Liffey but if you dont feel like walking there are regular hop on hop off tour buses that pass right outside.

Unless you get "early bird" menu in evening usually served until approx 7pm might find food a little expensive, paid 30 plus euros for 2 pizzas, garlic bread and 2 cokes. Also surprised at price of Guiness - 9 euro for 2 pints and Carling 9.70 euro for 2 pints - this was in a pub not a hotel or restaurant !!

We enjoyed our two night stay at this property. As one might expect for a relatively new hotel, the accomodations were clean, modern and secure. Prior to booking, we were aware of the "location" issues, so we have no complaints especially because many buses from O'Connell Street and several buses from City Center have stops "just down the hill" (200 meters?) from Comfort Inn.
We found our street side view to be very quiet, even though many buses make the right turn from Granby Row onto Dorsett Street. We appreciated the alert by the front desk staff that construction was occuring toward the rear of the property in the mornings.
We did not dine at the property; it appeared to be a comfortable dining area with competitive pricing. We did not expect to commune with Irish guests nor employees, so their absence was not surprising. The staff was competent and polite so we waited for friendly greetings at B&B's later in our trip.
If you book through the Choice Privileges web site, keep checking the rates up to your departure; we were able to get a rate lower than first quoted as we got closer to our arrival date.
Also, you may have to claim Choice Privileges points after your stay even though your confirmation states that your lodging rate qualifies for CP points.
We would definitely stay at the Hotel on a return trip. Don't miss the Dublin Art Museum, nor the Garden of Remembrance, both just around the corner.

“great little hotel”

Comfort Inn Granby Row

Four of us stayed here the May bank holiday weekend, we flew in from Glasgow and because it was after 12 at night we took a taxi which cost us 24 euros which we thought was ok as the airlink bus is 6 euros per person one way and the taxi was much quicker.
On arrival check in was great but it was 12.30 am. We had 2 double rooms which were across the hall from each other and were actually triple rooms. The rooms are very modern , very clean and the beds are extremely comfortable . The bathroom was spotless and well lit. The rooms have free internet access and there is internet access in the lobby which is payable locally this was great as we could check in online for our return flight and print out boarding cards. The breakfast is buffet style and had the usual fruit, yogurt, cereals plus a hot full Irish breakfast available. On our first day the dining room was quiet as we were in early but they struggled to cope with increased numbers of guests having breakfast on the Sunday morning but this is really my only complaint
The bar was open til late and was quite quiet although the hotel was busy. Both our rooms had no real view but they were away from the main road so very quiet at night which for me is more important when you are on a city break the rooms were 127 and 128 on the first floor. We went on one of the open top bus tours and had an early bird dinner at Ryans pub no.28 the meal was excellent ,we also had a great Thai meal at the Thai Orchid just off the O'Connell bridge on lower O'Connell street. This was a great weekend made better by a really nice hotel.

“Good Dublin Hotel”

Comfort Inn Granby Row

28 Apr 2008

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights in April 2008. We had checked
the reviews on Tripadvisor and found them to be heloful and correct.
The hotel is situated about 300 yards from the north end of O'Connell Street and just round the corner from the Modern Art Gallery. The area is quiet but there are plenty of eating places within 10 mins walk.
The hotel is modern, well furnished and quiet. The staff are helpful
and pleasant. We didnt eat breakfast as it was expensive and other reviews said it was not good. Instead we walked left from the hotel, then left again and a good cafe was on the corner of the square.
Incidently, to get to and from the Airport take bus 16A which stops in
O'Connell Street and costs 2 euros each way-you must have the right change.
Hotels in Dublin are expensive but this Comfort Inn is as good value as you will find.
