“Recently Constructed, So Superior to Most U.S. Comfort inns”
We enjoyed our two night stay at this property. As one might expect for a relatively new hotel, the accomodations were clean, modern and secure. Prior to booking, we were aware of the "location" issues, so we have no complaints especially because many buses from O'Connell Street and several buses from City Center have stops "just down the hill" (200 meters?) from Comfort Inn.
We found our street side view to be very quiet, even though many buses make the right turn from Granby Row onto Dorsett Street. We appreciated the alert by the front desk staff that construction was occuring toward the rear of the property in the mornings.
We did not dine at the property; it appeared to be a comfortable dining area with competitive pricing. We did not expect to commune with Irish guests nor employees, so their absence was not surprising. The staff was competent and polite so we waited for friendly greetings at B&B's later in our trip.
If you book through the Choice Privileges web site, keep checking the rates up to your departure; we were able to get a rate lower than first quoted as we got closer to our arrival date.
Also, you may have to claim Choice Privileges points after your stay even though your confirmation states that your lodging rate qualifies for CP points.
We would definitely stay at the Hotel on a return trip. Don't miss the Dublin Art Museum, nor the Garden of Remembrance, both just around the corner.
