Stayed here for a Saturday night in September 2006 with my girlfriend. As one of the previous reviewers has mentioned the hotel car park is called Q-Park...shared with Fairgreen Hotel and is also a public car park...entrance is just located between the hotels!!! Had a bit of confusion trying to get to the hotel from the car park...finding the right door to the lifts!!!
Reception is nice and modern...plenty of staff on...cool glass lifts!!!
Had a cocktail in the bar in the evening...lovely seated area with a funky fireplace!!! Unfortunately at the time of year the weather and light wasn't too good to enjoy the outside seated area that enjoys beautiful views over the lough!!!
We were given a letter when we checked in telling us breakfast got busy between 9:45-10:30am on weekend mornings...and that there are often queues then!!! We went down at about 9 o'clock...only 1 couple in front of us...and the restaurant was empty...happy days!!! Choice for breakfast was just typical for a hotel!!!
Our room was well decorated...a good size...and also only had a double bed in it which added a bit of a personal touch!!! A lot of hotels you order a double room and end up with a double bed and single bed in the room!!! Had a mini bar...and a container for fetching ice at the end of your corridor...convenient if you've brought your own champagne and glasses!!!
Leisure centre...superb...given a key for your locker, provided with towels...has an outdoor hot-tub with outstanding views!!!
Overall...very pleased with our stay...5 minutes walking to Eyre Square...if it even is that long!!! Worth the 220 Euros I paid!!!
