My partner and I ate out here on our first of two nights in Kilkenny. The food we got was lovely although when my partner ordered a mojito (advertised), there was no mint left, so had to choose another drink. My local beers were lovely.
We chose to have the deal of two courses for 18 Euro each and I ordered one of the specials - panfried sea bream with beetroot although when I received it, there was no beetroot to be seen on my plate and nothing from any staff member about this. My partner also had one of the specials (there were several available) and was quite pleased with his.
Though I can't recall what we had for dessert (I think mine was the sticky toffee and chocolate pudding), they were both very rich!!
Pretty good value for money overall and despite the couple of missing things, the food was tasty, fresh and as far as we could see, local. The setting was equally as lovely - especially on a cold, rainy Kilkenny night!
