We stayed here becuase we loved the idea of staying in a castle. It was certainly exciting to do that but we had a few problems. One, we had booked the reservation for a twin room and apparently there is a dispute between the owner of the hostel and the An Oige association that does its booking and the owner will not honor reservations for twin rooms - rooms are given on a first serve, first come basis no matter what the reservation person tells you. Second, the rat traps in my room bothered me but I did not see any. The bathrooms get to be dirty and the water is not very warm. The family that stays there is nice though and there is a big kitchen and you are really away from the noise. And definitely staying in a castle is cool!
