“Perfectly adequqte”

Two Mile Inn Hotel

11 Sep 2007

The hotel was easy to find and perfectly adequate for one night. It is true that the beds were small, but there were two of them! I liked the heated towel rail and the bathroom was a fair size. My only complaint would be that the lady who greeted guests in the dining room for breakfast told everyone that breakfast was not included in the price. Everyone challenged this and she conceded, but she failed to apologize to any of us. What exactly was going on???? I would not hesitate to stay there again.

“never again”

Two Mile Inn Hotel

i stayed here with my husband and three children, never again, family room consisted of two double beds(really single), where did they expect my third child to sleep, very small rooms would not swing a cat, bathrooms as basic as you would get dont be expecting any free shampoo or shower gel, reception staff so rude would not even look at you when they were talking more interested in there mobile phones, did not tell us about where breakfast was been served or at what time, as for dinner which was included, asked at reception to make a resveration we were handed the phone to make to do it our selves, which might i add was in a pub across the car park, food lovely over there and staff very friendley its a pity that the same can not be said for the hotel staff, we arrived on a sunday and the ice machine was not working, and the same story on the monday and monday night, nothing for the kids to do. as for the internet 1euro for 8 mins a rip off.

Thank you for your comments. I can assure you however that complimentary shower gel and shampoo is included in every bedroom in our hotel. I am sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy your experience but would like to thank you for your comments, which will ultimately aid us in improving our service here in the hotel. I will be sure to pass on your compliments to the staff at Thady O'Neills Bar & Restaurant.

“The smallest double in the world!”

We, (My husband & I) stayed here in July 2007 for 1 night.
The hotel looked very impressive as we approached, and the main reception was beautiful and welcoming.
Staff were pleasant.
After we got our key we set of on what seemed like a "2mile hike" to our room!
When we arrived in our room we were greeted with a double bed ("they said"!) the bed was tiny, just about the same size as a single bed, so we hiked the 2mile back to the reception to enquire, and were told that it was a double room but the beds were "kinda small".
ADVICE: If you're taller than 5ft and weigh more than 10 stone, stay elsewhere. plus breakfast isn't included in the price it starts off at a min of €10per person.

I would like to thank you for your review. I am extremely pleased that you were impressed by the exterior and lobby area of the hotel. That is a very nice compliment to give us. I am sorry however to hear that you found our double beds too small and can only apologize for this inconvenience. I would like to thank you for your comments, as such feedback enables us to further improve our service offered. I sincerely hope that you give us the opportunity to look after you once more in the near future.

“No heat? Foot odor? Other than that, it's fine!”

I stayed at the Two Mile Inn at the end of May for 2 nights. It was okay, pretty average except for one MAJOR problem...the heat. Ireland gets really cold, even in late spring, and the Two Mile Inn rooms for both me and my companions had NO HEAT at night! It was so cold in the rooms I made several pots of coffee in the middle of the night to stay warm. That is, until the power went out on me! I had to get the front desk guy to come and flip some switch which he seemed aggravated at having to do so that I could get power, but before I left for the morning, the power went off again. Annoying, to say the least, and highly impractical. When we complained about the heat, they explained it was on a timer and they couldn't do anything about it. Hmmm...a timer which provides heat during the day when it's warmer but not at night when it's cold. I see.

Other than this issue, the hotel was pretty average. The breakfasts were decent, and the staff, other than my previous mentioned encounter, was very helpful with directions and suggestions. I will also say that the rooms were a bit stinky too, but not overwhelmingly so. The rooms were clean but definitely had an odor that smelled of sweaty feet. If you can deal with stinky foot odor and visit in the summer, you may have no problem with the Two Mile Inn. I can't say I'd stay here again in all honesty though.

“When Irish Eyes are Smiling”

Two Mile Inn Hotel

3 Jun 2007

My sister and I stayed at the Two mile inn and these are our findings:

The Service was excellent and the staff were helpful and very friendly, the location wasn't as close to the city as was expected, however the local bus service was frequent and very realible.

The standard of the rooms were high and comfortable with all mod cons, and not forgetting the cleanliness which was exceptional.

The food in the hotel was good with a fine selection, which catered for all tastes.

We would fully recommend this hotel and we will definately return..
