Just back from a holiday touring ireland and i had mixed feelings about this hotel after reading the reviews, but they were unfounded.Room was perfect as were the staff..I ate in the pub next door which is obviously owned by the hotel as it had the same menu and was first class. Only comments i have if you are driving to the hotel and approaching from the west , ignore the sign to turn at the next right as you cross a dual carriageway.Instead carry on to the roundabout and head back.

“STAY AWAY!”

DO NOT STAY HERE! My husband & I stayed at the two mile inn in May while traveling in Ireland. We stayed in 5 different cities and hotels and this was the absolute worst!!!! I had seen previous reviews and they were 50/50 so we decided to give it a shot since it is so close to the airport and this was our last night in Ireland. The only good thing was that we were only here one night! that is about the best thing I can say. When we first arrived
I was surprised that the lobby wasnt as bad as I thought, then we received our key and were taken to our room-- which seemed ok at first, but within minutes the smell of smoke disgusted us--- I had requested NON SMOKING. I called the front desk and told them they needed to move us and the girl asked us if we had stayed in the room for a few minutes, that maybe it wouldnt be that bad---maybe she meant once my husband could no longer breathe and pass out from the stench! non the less, they moved us to the LAST ROOM in the hotel-- the only one that was apparently available, and it was also two single beds-- great for a couple, right??? GROSS!! gross is all I can say, I found mouse droppings near the bed and in the dresser drawers! GROSS! GROSS!GROSS!!! At this point there was nothing we could do since it was the last room and our last nigt. I kept my belongings tightly closed, we went out for the evening, returned late and had the worst night sleep because of my earlier "findings". Luckily we had to get up super early and head to the airport. Only good thing I can say is that the breakfast was actually pretty good once you got past the crowds of people who seemed to attack the waitress when she arrived with the food-- very mismanaged! Bottom line-- DONT STAY HERE! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

Thank you for your response. I am extremely sorry to hear about your clearly unpleasant experience here. I can assure you, however, that our rooms are cleaned to the highest standard and that there are certainly no mouse droppings within the rooms. I can only apologize for the error in the room allocation. I am pleased to hear that you enjoyed the breakfast and will pass on the compliment to the breakfast restaurant. Your comments ultimately help to improve our service offered here in the hotel.

“Perfectly adequqte”

Two Mile Inn Hotel

11 Sep 2007

The hotel was easy to find and perfectly adequate for one night. It is true that the beds were small, but there were two of them! I liked the heated towel rail and the bathroom was a fair size. My only complaint would be that the lady who greeted guests in the dining room for breakfast told everyone that breakfast was not included in the price. Everyone challenged this and she conceded, but she failed to apologize to any of us. What exactly was going on???? I would not hesitate to stay there again.

“never again”

Two Mile Inn Hotel

i stayed here with my husband and three children, never again, family room consisted of two double beds(really single), where did they expect my third child to sleep, very small rooms would not swing a cat, bathrooms as basic as you would get dont be expecting any free shampoo or shower gel, reception staff so rude would not even look at you when they were talking more interested in there mobile phones, did not tell us about where breakfast was been served or at what time, as for dinner which was included, asked at reception to make a resveration we were handed the phone to make to do it our selves, which might i add was in a pub across the car park, food lovely over there and staff very friendley its a pity that the same can not be said for the hotel staff, we arrived on a sunday and the ice machine was not working, and the same story on the monday and monday night, nothing for the kids to do. as for the internet 1euro for 8 mins a rip off.

“The smallest double in the world!”

We, (My husband & I) stayed here in July 2007 for 1 night.
The hotel looked very impressive as we approached, and the main reception was beautiful and welcoming.
Staff were pleasant.
After we got our key we set of on what seemed like a "2mile hike" to our room!
When we arrived in our room we were greeted with a double bed ("they said"!) the bed was tiny, just about the same size as a single bed, so we hiked the 2mile back to the reception to enquire, and were told that it was a double room but the beds were "kinda small".
ADVICE: If you're taller than 5ft and weigh more than 10 stone, stay elsewhere. plus breakfast isn't included in the price it starts off at a min of €10per person.

I sincerely hope that you give us the opportunity to look after you once more in the near future.
