I had to write a review on this hotel as the food was so bad. The rooms are OK but unbearably warm. This is not a 4 star hotel in my opinion. They couldn't even make a decent sandwich.

The week of the 10th of September 2007, I had the pleasure of staying at the Castletroy Park Hotel, it was a wonderful experience. I was on a business trip and had the pleasure of staying a number of nights.
Hospitality and service were excellent in all areas of the hotel, from the time you arrived at the front door, until my departure. The room was very comfortable, cleaned to a high standard daily, with efficient room service. The leisure facilities were a great bonus at the end of a long day, clean and welcoming.
Dining in the bar and restaurant were a pleasure, great food, friendly , efficient and helpful staff.
The location of the hotel is excellent for accessing the mid-west and south of the country. I definitely will return for pleasure in the near future.

Stayed at this hotel for 4 days during my trip to Irleand. Great rooms, comfy beds, wonderful restaurant - ate there 3 nights, EXCELLENT food and the staff couldn't have been more friendly, especially to my 2 year old daughter!

Convient to Shannon and tons of golf courses - great base hotel.

This is a truely great hotel. I was blown away by all aspects including accommodation, staff and dining.

My room was huge by Irish standards and very comfortable. It was stocked with a huge range of Molton Brown products (posh London brand). They have a turn down service in the evening where they recheck everything in the room and leaving handmade chocolates. They also provide complimentary iced tea and cookies on request in the evening.

The staff could not be more accommodating. They went out of their way to ensure that everything was perfect throughout my stay.

The food was also excellent. The buffet breakfast was wonderful. Homebaked bread, a selection of freshly squeezed juices, an array of freshly prepared fruit. I did not try the restaurant in the evening because the bar food was so good. The monkfish was devine. Complementary freshly baked bread was served with the meal even though it was in the bar - this is the attention to detail that they excel in.

I have to go back to Limerick in November and will definitely stay here.

One thing to note for those wanting to explore Limerick city centre - it is a cab ride away. However, I would still recommend staying at this hotel and paying the 10 euro (max) cab fare to the city centre. I doubt you would get this quality at this great price in the city centre anyway.
