stayed in this hotel as I was in the area working and decided why drive 200KM when I was working in the area on the following day

This hotel is well located but I had to turn around 2 times as the sign posted from the Limerick - Ennis are very clear and when you cross the dual carraige way its very badly signposted, however I found It, really all I wanted was a nice meal & a good hot bath check my emails and go to bed., check-in was very fast nice girl at the desk entracnce was welcoming with a gas fire in the lobby. I was disappointed with the room, when I checked out the bathroom ther was cripy crawling things in the bath, which turned me off the bathroom straight away, I couldn't even use the shower after it !!

the room was tidy but not 100% clean bed was ok but the room needed a good lick of paint and the lamps shades on the lamps were damaged, but room was grand and warm. the television was a JOKE, of the 17 channel availalbe only 8 were working and the reception on the TV was shocking if you walked accorss the room it got worse , the dinner in the dinning room was good, but for a single client I found the professional approach poor enough no offer of a newspaper or a book etc service was good but little touches would certainly have me back again.

Check-out was very fast, but as it was a really fosty morning with about 1-2cm of ice on the car window would be nice if teh reception would mention that the can provide water if need

Enjoy your stay

“Above average Raddison”

Stayed here for 3 nights in September on holiday and it's a decent attempt by Raddison.I'm a veteran of Best Western's and Raddison's are a class or two above.

Lovely comfortable reception area - large rooms but unfortunately no air con which is plain daft considering the summers we have now.Not an Irish person in the place but we are all getting used to that now.

Great breakfast - everything you could ever want including porrige - fair value evening meals.Get there before 7-o-clock for the best deal.I agree with previous comments about that big curtain seperating the dining room from the reception. It is odd.

Free wi-fi will have me booking one hotel over another.

Listen - It's 2007 and wi-fi is not an expensive mystery any more.It should be free in all business hotels.

Did the banquet in Bunratty castle and it's well worth it just for the entertainment.Food is average.Good fun though.

just spent three days in this hotel not very impressed by certain things. firstly the room while large was drab decor.corridor on second floor always looked like it needed a good hoovering. staff were pleasant and welcoming on reception. the biggest drawback was the dining room. hardly any natural light. divided off the main foyer by this large curtain for want of a better word. if you were having a meal seated near this curtain and the foyer was busy while you couldnt see people you could hear them. on top of this the background music was too loud and didnt make eating in this area a good experience. upon requesting that the music be lowered i was first told to pity the staff who had to listen to it every night. the second request for lowering the music got a result. the service in the dining room was very slow and very annoying to have someone coming over and placing cutlery on your table every few minutes. tables should be properly set up in the first instance. the menu for dinner does'nt change too often. hotel is ok for one night but any longer and its very disappointing.
while this hotel is set in lovely grounds perhaps a proper dining room could be added on.

“Very nice hotel plus free wi-fi in room!”

On a recent business trip to our offices in Shannon, I decided to try out the Radisson SAS in Limerick. Usually our people stay at Bunratty but I fancied a night on my own.
The eastern european staff gave a warm welcome to me and check in was processed quickly.
I was VERY pleasantly surprised when I arrived to my room - it was huge and it was only a standard! The room was very clean and bed was, for a nice change, a true double rather than two singles pushed together.
Even more surprising was the free wi-fi in room which worked flawlessly, even with my company laptop (I struggle with free public wi-fi as our corporate security peeps are paranoid).
Breakfast was an enjoyable affair, despite two coach loads of tourists, the staff coped admirally well. The food was good.
Check out was slightly troublesome as they wouldn't accept my bmi diamond club number to get points...Radisson do give points for bmi cardholders so I'll need to send off my invoice to bmi which is a hassle.
Overall, 9 out of 10. I don't often stay at Radissons but may do so now. I'm not sure who Radisson compete with but if comparing to Marriott which is what I am more used to, Radisson has a far superior edge in terms of room size and the massive bonus of free wi-fi. Thumbs up to this hotel.

Stayed 3 nights with kids and grandparents. Lovely frontage, foyer and public areas. Food and drink were good but service was slow and too often had to repeat requests.
Rooms are a little frayed at the edges but comfortable.
The website said it was set in 22 acres of land?? A walk around the back and it looks like a bombsite. There's abandoned accomodation blocks and lots of junk lying around.
It's probably a fine hotel for business and transit but not the greatest for a family stay.
Finally don't expect much craic - there's hardly an irishman/woman working in the place.
