We booked to say here for a girls only family break (mum, 2 sisters & myself). We got a great offer of 2 nights B&B with 1 evening meal for e109pps. When we arrived we were disappointed not to be in a 2 bed suite but didn't mind we had separate suites only they were at the total opposite end of the hotel. There was a problem with the checking in and the assistant was ver rude. We enjoyed a lovely night ordering in pizza but during the night the heating was overwhelming in the room and very uncomfortable. Our breakfast the next morning was a disaster, the sausages were completely raw and we asked to take them back, the 2nd time they came out they were just as bad, unfortunatley the chef had an attitude from our complaints so we ate cereal!! Spent a great day shopping in the crescent shopping centre but our evening meal was another disaster. The food is presented like first class but smothered in sauces (chillie, curry etc) which didn't give us much confidence knowing how poorly our breakfast was cooked. We didn't finish!!! Overall these apartments are great if you are not eating in the hotel itself, not sure I'l be returning in a hurry becasue I've stayed in plenty of nicer hotels in Limerick, including the Clarion Hotel.

Consecutive weekends in Limerick gave us the opportunity to try different accommodation. Last time it was the Absolute, this time the Clarion Suites. The Clarion shaded it, although the overall standard of furnishings for a new hotel was slightly surprising. I would describe the furnishings as new but simple and not as plush as the competition just down the road. What did it for us was the size of the suite, two bedrooms, lounge, kitchen, bathroom and 3 TV's!
In contrast, why does breakfast present such problems for all these hotels? We had to set our own table, ask for tea/toast/hot water/fried egg and replenishment of the fruit salad. Staff were otherwise very helpful and we would not hesitate to stay here again.

Although the location is a little way out of town its an easy 30 minute 20 minute stroll away.
We stayed in a 2 bed suite, very clean and incredibly spacious, very quiet, no noise intrusion from adjoining rooms.

We didn't find the staff particularly friendly, but thought the standard of food, from muffins/scones to morning breakfast was exceptional. The main hotel is beautifully decorated and it was a pleasure to stay here, we wished we had stayed more than one night, as we had so much space which was a godsend with a toddler who likes as much space as possible.

The suite was quite large and good value at €129.00 per night. We had a two bedroom suite on the 3rd floor and it had plenty of room for all four of us. Two large bedrooms, living room and kitchenette. Room service is 24 hour and the food is quite nice in the resturant also. I did feel that breakfast at €20 per person was quite expensive and if you want breakfast delivered to your room you can add another €5 per person to that. The staff were fine although some of the kitchen staff could do with brushing up on their english. Otherwise, central enough location and quite spacious suites. 24 Hour Dunnes stores, banklink, take-away chinese restrauant, off- license etc within a few minutes walk from the hotel. All essentials are supplied - Iron, Ironing board, hairdryer, glasses, cutlery, microwave, fridge, tea/coffee facilities, tv in every room and also a safe and mini bar in one of the rooms. Bathroom was well stocked with the usuals and no less than 10 towels. The suite was clean and the bed linen was spotless. I would use this hotel mainly as a base for touring around or as a stopover.
