“1st Class Irish Charm”

Foxmount Country House

29 Apr 2008

This was our 2nd stay at Foxmount in the past 2 years and the service, charm and true hospitality can not be out done.
Mr. & Mrs. Kent will treat you right.
If you visit Ireland without a stay at Foxmount, then you have not truly enjoyed Ireland. From the linens to the breakfast..It's all 1st Class.
A stroll to Jack Meade's pub is a true delight.
This is the true Irish Experience.
Please, do yourself a favor and visit Foxmount.

My husband and I ... as well as my parents thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Foxmount Country house. The property is just outside of Waterford ... and although a bit hard to find ... was in a nice location. The rooms are big, bright and very clean. Modern bathrooms and comfortable beds. The sitting room and dining room are also very relaxing and welcoming. Aside from the wonderful hospitality of Margaret Kent, the food is the best place about Foxmount. Margaret's Irish breakfast was simply the best. All the jams were made from fruit on the farm ... the scones and brown bread were baked fresh... and the eggs were from the neighbor's farm. You could taste the freshness! I highly recommend Foxmount Country House!

“Absolutely fabulous! A "MUST-STAY-HERE" kind of place!”

After doing a lot of searching on TripAdvisor to select a B&B near Waterford I decided to take the plunge and go with the Foxmount Country House -- that was perhaps one of my best decisions for the whole trip. The Kent's were incredibly gracious people who truly made
us feel like honored guests in their beautiful home. We arrived exhausted after driving down from Dublin upon arrival and from the moment when Mr. Kent asked if we would like some tea we were just blown away -- from the warm tea in front of a lovely fire, to the excellent dinner reservations in the nearby town it was just a wonderful stay. Our room was lovely with a large en suite bathroom --everything was top notch! Breakfast was a real treat with lots of laughing and talking among the different guests. We had a wonderful stay with the Kent's and this is probably the #1 place on our list for our next stay!

What an unexpected joy we experienced at FOXMOUNT!

Margaret and David Kent are among the classiest, warmest and most gracious hosts in Ireland! We were a group of seven weary travelers who were treated to the most exquisite foods.... the lovliest and most well-thought-out accommodations..... as well as much additional ancestor-tracing help from the Kents in their library/solarium ....

The sheer beauty and feeling of the well-loved and cared-for antiques in their home is unmatched; daily freshly-cut roses added to the ambience. The blackberry-munching walks in the adjacent countryside were breathtaking!

The serenity of the estate is matched and balanced by the hilarity and warmth of Jack Meade's pub and dinner establishment which is an easy 8 minute walk away.

You ABSOLUTELY MUST visit with these wonderful people and experience the very best that Ireland has to offer. We are MOST DEFINITELY returning.... as soon as possible!

“Refined Country Home”

Foxmount Country House

This is a refined home built in 1740. The rooms are perfectly decorated with very comfortable beds. Margret recommended a great location on the harbor for dinner. After a fun dinner, we retired to luxurious bed coverings for a great night's sleep. The breakfast was one of the best of our trip with dishes featuring produce from the farm. This was our favorite B&B of a two week trip! The experience was worth more than the price.
