Having booked into this hotel for a short break and the price been quite expensive for what Was on offer i was very disappointment in this hotel in my my opionion the bedrooms in this hotel need a total revamp the decor is tired and old even though the rooms are quite big the corridors and floors all smell of food wafting up from the kitchen not a very plesant spell especially as it was fish , carpets on the floors are also old and smell and need to be cleaned more often ,
The pool in this complex was also very cold and took a lot of effort on our behalf to get into it in the first place , the jacuzzi was dreafull and seemed to have lots of chlorine in it to the extent that it took you breath away as you were getting into it again not what you would expect . The staff in the leisure complex are not very friendly or helpful in any way .Not a hotel i will be visiting in the near future

“Do NOT stay here!”

We were told this was a 4 star hotel - it was disgusting! Do NOT stay here if you have high standards for cleanliness or presentation. When we arrived the 3 lobby staff seemed confused and overwhelmed. It was hot and they had a little cheap fan blowing all over. Parking for the hotel was confusing - no good signage to help their patrons. And our room... 4 star? Try 1 star. It was gross. Paint chipping, just looked dingy and dirty. Plus we were on the side of the hotel with the parking lot. Since it was hot and we needed air in the room it made for a frustrating night hearing cars drive up and down the road right outside the hotel, people park and yell and then people standing outside the hotel smoking below our window. Gross! If you're looking for a quality hotel, do not stay here.

“Excellent from Start To Finish.”

Tower Hotel Waterford

14 May 2008

I stayed in the Tower Hotel from the 16th – 19th April for a family wedding.
The Management Team and Staff led by Alicia McGuire were first rate. From start to finish I could not fault the standard of service that we received.

On the 17th (the day before the wedding) the Grooms party, of which I was one, decided we would like to play a round of golf at The Faith Leg course nearby. Being a sister hotel of the Towers, Alicia arranged a tee off time for us at a fantastic price. It was a cold day so the standard of golf was not at its usual levels! As we were going up the 11th fairway, the Course Ranger stopped us. He produced a thermos flask and four glasses that he filled to the top with hot whisky complements of the Tower Hotel Management! Needless to stay the golf improved greatly after that!!

The hotel itself is in a fantastic location, close to everything. It is a bit dated but I was lucky enough to have had one of the refurbished rooms overlooking the Quay. The service in both the Bar and Restaurant was excellent and the breakfast was top notch.

The meal and service provided on the day of the wedding was outstanding. I am very fond of my Roast Beef and in particular rare beef. I asked the waitress if it would be possible to get it cooked as rare as possible. She arrived back to me with a rare Sirloin Steak! I thought that this was special treatment given to me as I was at the top table, not the case; my father was at a different table and received the same service.

All in all I highly recommend this hotel, not for the comforts (I hope they continue with the Refurb that they have started), but for the Staff and Management. Their level of service and customer care is outstanding.

Thank You,

Patrick Reddan

“Very Comfortable Stay”

Stayed here March 20, 2008 and really enjoyed our stay. It was clean and no smokiness in the room from previous guests. We had a nice view over the river as we were on the back hallway. We had almost no traffic infront of our door and it was one of the best nights in Ireland.

Very nice staff.
