I was taken here for Valentine's Day and it definitely fits the bill as a romantic hotel. We checked into a Superior room which was amazing. They are located on the corner of the hotel so you have a view over two parts of the grounds. They have a nice sofa to chill out on. The bed was very comfortable and the Molton Brown bath products went down nicely.

It was lovely to be greeted at the car and have our bags taken in. Your car could also be parked for you. The staff on reception were incredibly friendly and offered great service. They had all the details of our stay ready including the time we were to eat in the Clocktower Restaurant.

There were no problems about bringing an ice bucket and glasses to our room later in the afternoon. Shortly after this they brought up a body massager which was a lovely touch.

Dinner in the Clocktower Restaurant was unbelieable. Probably the best food i've ever had. I had scallops and lamb and my boyfriend had a home made broth and then beef. The food tasted amazing. We then had the dessert tapas to share which was lovely, with the bread and butter pudding my favourite part. The waiter was very attentive and offered great service to us.

The hotel grounds are very beautiful and well worth a wander round. We had a look around after a massive breakfast the next morning. Staff will give you a map and there are walking routes highlighted so that you can follow.

The food at breakfast was also very nice and I would recommend the english breakfast.

This hotel was amazing and the cater for your every need. We liked it so much we're found an excuse to go back again next month. I can't wait until the spa facilities are built because this truly will be an unbelivable hotel then.

My wife and I stayed at the Rudding Park Hotel to celebrate our first valentines day since our wedding. The hotel is magnificent!! We stayed in a superior leisure double room which was fantastic. The evening dinner was included in the price and the food was first class. I read some of the reviews stating that the food was not up to scratch, but I could not disagree more based on our stay. Breakfast in the morning was delicious also. We could not recommend this hotel more. Harrogate itself is a beautiful town and you must go to the infamous Betty's tea shop.

An excellent hotel with beautiful grounds ..... we could not fault it.

“Quality Establishment makes amends....”

Rudding Park Hotel

18 Feb 2008

After a previous stay at the Rudding Park hotel I found myself dissapointed with an oversight made on out of date bottles in my mini-bar.

I was contacted promptly by the Managing Director on two occasions [by letter] offering and extending an apology for the oversight. We were also given time for a complimentary stay at the hotel, to include meal and breakfast. This was not only a very pleasing opportunity but a chance to resolve an unpleasant situation.

The service was prompt and quality of food in The Clocktower resteraunt was delicious and immaculate in presentation. Room service was as eager to help as ever! The rural surroundings are delightful, providing a sense of being isolated but still only a stone's throw away from Harrogate, Wetherby, Leeds and surrounding areas.

All things considered, this is a fine establishment and clearly with the customer's satisfaction in mind. I will be going back to stay at the hotel. Thank you for making amends!!

“Great hotel, lovely staff”

My husband and I stayed for just a one night getaway just after Christmas, our only dissapointment is that the hotel was fully booked so we were unable to stay longer!

From the second we drove into the car park, the service was first-class. The smiling porter met us at the car to take our luggage, the check-in and restaurant staff were efficient, helpful and friendly.

We dined in the Clocktower Restaurant in the evening, the decor is contemporary, the food was lovely and beautifully presented, and the atmosphere was lively and informal.

We stayed in a Superior King room, which was spacious (apart from the huge bed there was also a sofa-area), the decor was cool & contemporary and the bathroom was immaculatley clean with a bonus of Molton Brown freebies.

The only thing that could have made our stay more perfect would have been a spa/leisure facilities. They are planning to build one very soon, we saw the model/plans for the new spa and it looks absolutely amazing, we'll definitley be returning when it's finished!

“Fantastic wedding venue”

Our daughter and her new husband had their marriage ceremony at Rudding Park. We had a large number of guests who stayed the night at the hotel. As we were from Australia, a lot of the organisation of the wedding took place over the Internet.

From a parent's perspective, the hotel did a great job at organising the function, from the wedding service in the drawing room, drinks in the bar, and the reception upstairs in the Crosby Suite. The Duty Manager co-ordinated the function, and was exceptionally good. The meal was excellent. If you are considering getting married here, do so as you will not be disappointed, it is a great venue.

On the hotel side, the rooms are luxurious, plenty of room, facilities are first class. The only problem we had was with breakfast, where we had to ask three times to get some toast provided, it was all too hard for the waiter.

Overall, highly recommended.
