We spent a weekend at the hotel in February on a "bargain break". The building is slightly tired, as you would expect, and the first impressions aren't great as you drive in to the car park at the rear of the building.
However, this was more than made up for by the staff who were, without exception, friendly and efficient without being overbearing. They made our stay at the hotel a really nice experience and made this a recommended place to stay. They are all to be congratulated.
The food was good withjout being pretentious, the breakfast in particular was very good.
We also made use of the health club; again, the staff there were very friendly and helpful. The rowing machines could do with a proper service but that didn't stop me wearing myself out!
