Stayed for one night at the Holiday Inn, Harrogate before moving off to another part of Yorkshire. The hotel is exactly near the Conference Centre and an easy 5 - 10 minute walk to the shops. It has a nearby parking but I would strongly suggest that you drop off your luggage at the main entrance first and then park as it is a bit of a hike with heavy luggage. We managed to find parking space however I can imagine the car park getting full quite easily if there are any special events on or if the hotel is very full. The car park costs 5 pounds daily for hotel guests but you can get in and out at any time just don't forget to ask for the token at the reception first! The rooms all have tea/coffee making facilities as well as an iron & ironing board. Space was a bit limited as we had a third bed in the room, however it was comfortable enough and quiet. We found that we couldn't get a table in the dining room because we hadn't made a reservation and it was either waiting for quite some time or eating a snack at the bar downstairs which is what we opted to do. The food was good but expensive. There is a choice of eating in other nearby restaurants though. All in all I would go back for another stay if I had to.
