Be afraid be very afraid new owner has also Ashton B&B and 3 others. Not interested in customers only the money. Very noisy and breakfast service slow and each morning something was not available. Room was not serviced on one day. Room was not ready and had been given to somone else so 15 mins to sort out another hotel round the corner.

Very ordinary b and b , no facilities ,overpriced for what it is , must get away with it in Harrogate.
Read some of other [mixed ] reviews can only assume that the guys that were happy with this place aint been to any class hotels and were satisfied with pretty basic acccomodation albeit clean an kinda old fashioned.

For the fourth year in a row Ron and Linda have proved excellent hosts. A group of us were fortunate enough to *happen* on Ashley House when we were looking for accommodation for the nurses' conference in Harrogate in 2002.

We liked it so much that we have returned every year since, and we are extremely sad that the conference in 2006 is elsewhere. We'll be back again in 2007, though.

Every year Ron has contacted me to enquire whether we would like our *usual* rooms. We have done - and will continue to do so.

The hotel is first class - clean, tidy and always a friendly conversation for the guests from both Ron and Linda. Clean sheets and towels always available

Always refreshments in the rooms which are renewed daily, and the breakfast is second to none, with the staff happy to accomodate our *foibles* and capacity to drink gallons of tea!

The bar is well stocked, with an unenviable variety of whisky available. The prices are very reasonable - and certainly considerably cheaper than *The Majestic* where most of our evening entertainment took place.

I can't praise Ron, Linda and their staff highly enough

Room we got was tiny boxroom defo not big enough for 2 Found the [hotel] hard to find on some back road outa town.Parking limited. Nobody there when we arrived ,No advice on sights or Harrogate town. Better off at Holiday Inn !!. No faciltiies at all ,even bar not open.
