We recently stayed at Shannon Court Guest House which I would recommend to families, couples or if you are on business. The guest house is run and owned by Heather and Martin who make you very welcome on arrival and are happy to help with directions to wherever you wish to explore, whether it be in Harrowgate or the surrounding area. The rooms are spacious, nicely decorated with lovely crisp white linen! We also enjoyed a full cooked breakfast with cereal, yoghurt and fruit also on offer. Harrowgate is a lovely small town full of things to do and plenty places to eat to suit all tastes at reasonable prices. We would recommend to stay at Shannon Court without hesitation.

“Harrogate's Little Treasure!”

Shannon Court Guesthouse

1 Mar 2007

This delightful guest house offers a warm and friendly welcome from it's owners Heather and Martin. The rooms are all en-suite, clean, bright and homey. Within 5 minutes we were in the centre of Harrogate and able to eat out without the cost of a taxi to bring us back to where we were staying. The beds are comfortable and a real bonus was that at breakfast the scrambled eggs are done to perfection! We really felt like it was a home from home and would recommend Shannon Court Guesthouse to anyone wishing to visit Harrogate.

When I travel I am always looking for the extras, which for me are the warmth of the welcome and how easy it is to communicate your needs you may have to the management. Heather and Martin scored really highly in my "warmth-o-meter". Two nicer, welcoming, easier going people it would be hard to find. The accomodation itself was exceptionally clean, fresh and in keeping with the style of the house. Rates are very competitive and the food was top class. I'll definitely be going again!

“Excellent Guesthouse”

Shannon Court Guesthouse

10 Feb 2007

We discovered Shannon Court by chance and very pleased that we did. The hospitality and professionalism of Heather and Martin is second to none. The rooms were clean bright and comfortable and the breakfast was spot on. We were able to park easily and leave the car for the time of our stay as it was only a few minutes walk to the town and exhibition centre. We will definitely be back again.

“Long Weekend”

Shannon Court Guesthouse

4/4 found this review helpful

Go there if you are looking for great accomodation, fantastic food and very friendly and welcoming owners.

Bob Evans taught my seven year old girl the rudiments of chess in about fifteen minutes and neither he nor his wife Kath seemed to mind being trailed around by a couple of young inquisitors. Both were very helpful with advice about where to go in the area that would be family-orientated.

The breakfasts were generously proportioned and made from fresh ingredients bought in many cases from local independent suppliers. There was even homemade marmalade!

The hotel has received a hatful of awards from the RAC and English Tourist Board amongst others.

Their web site is at three Ws dot Shannon hyphen Court dot com.

Really couldn't find fault the experience.
