We stayed at Alvera Court for 2 nights, the rooms were clean pleasantly decorated and the bed was comfortable. Also the shower was great, nice and hot, the bathroom was clean. The breakfast was good and the propriertor, Colin, was very friendly and helpful. It also has it's own car park, which is a bonus, and is ideally located to the centre of Harrogate.

Stayed at this hotel whilst at a conference. Brilliant location just across the road from the Conference Centre. Nice large room with a firm king sized bed. Room also had a sofa and newly fitted ensuite bathroom. All the in room amenities you would expect for a good 3/4 star hotel but with the individualised service of a B&B. Lovely breakfasts cooked to order using local produce. A friend was booked into the Majestic down the road for almost a third more than I paid and her room was pokey compared to mine. she also had to queue up for her breakfast because it was so busy. And it was noisy at night. So if you are looking for a a cosy Hotel walking distance from the town centre offering great value for money stay here. Also go to the Rajput Indian Restaurant on Cheltenham Parade, best curry I've had in ages, and I've had a few!

After reading the two reviews on here, after I had booked, I was unsure what to expect.

Well what can I say. My wife and I are well seasoned travellers ranging from hostels through B&B to 5 star super hotels on many continents.

An absolutely faultless and pleasant stop. Both owners did everything they could to make sure we enjoyed our time there.

Spotlessly clean, breakfast delicious and well cooked and above all - a sense of a real home from home.

Cant believe the other reviews have anything to do with this hotel.

You wont go wrong here.

Scottish woman who runs ??works in hotel is extremely rude and has absolutely no interpersonal skills - why do people like this go into jobs in tourism? I was truly shocked and dumbfounded by her attitude and general hostility - have actually gone as far as filling out a form at the Tourist Board she was that bad! A great pity, it was my first experience of staying in Harrogate. .
