Booked this room whilst the £19 offers were on. I did'nt get it for £19, but paid £39, which for a Saturday night in Harrogate was good value. The hotel is right in the middle of Harrogate. There is no parking for the hotel, but there is a pay and display right next to it. A 24 hour stay is £10.00. There is also a Weatherspoons next door which is good value and open from very early for breakfast. The room was huge and clean with everything you need. There are clean towels, tv, tea & coffee facilities and a heater which you can control yourself. The only thing I did'nt like was the group of teenagers that turned up at 3.30am and carried on partying until 4.30am. There is no telephone in the rooms, so ringing reception is'nt an option. I don't know whether this was just because it was a saturday night or whether it happens regularly, as this hotel is in the middle of numerous pubs and I should imagine it could be very noisy at chucking out time. But, clean, good location and good value if you get it on offer.

“Noisy”

Travelodge Harrogate

Just about the worst hotel experince ever. While there is nothing wrong with the service the location, directly opposite a bar with loads of smokers outside until 3.30 in the morning meant we got abolutely no sleep.

Don't even think about staying there!!!!

“Not The Place For An Early Night!”

Having stayed in many travelodges before we knew what to expect from the travelodge in Harrogate and as far as the room was concerned it was exactly what we thought it would be, rooms were basic but clean and had tea/coffee facilities, a TV, desk etc and clean shower/toilet. One thing i did notice that was annoying was that there was no shampoo/condioner/shower gel in the bathroom, only a bar of soap to make sure you take your own toiletries!

The location of this hotel is fantastic, we were actually attending a wedding in nearby ripley but had a spare half hour where we walked to harrogate town centre which is seconds away, the hotel is also just round the corner from the turkish baths.

If you are planning an early night then DO NOT STAY HERE! There is a bar across the road at the front from which we could hear music and people shouting until about 3am. I can only imagine that a room at the back of the hotel would be just as well and there is only a small car park between the travelodge and a very large Wetherpspoons pub and Revolution vodka bar.

What made it even worse was there was obvioulsy some building work going on nearby which started at about 8am (not what you want on a sunday morning after a late night) although i appreciate that this isn't the hotel's fault.

I think if you're going on a stag/hen weekend or a night out in Harrogate then this hotel is perfect, you're likely to be in late anyway so the noise won't bother you, i certainly wouldn't recommend it for anyone looking for a quiet relaxing getaway!

Noisiest hotel we have ever stayed in, abandon all hope of getting to sleep before about 3am if you are at the front of the hotel, tried earplugs but too much noise for that.
Nightclub opposite had around 70 people on the pavement singing & shouting !

“Loved It!”

I'm a young partier! I live in Harrogate and my boyfriend lives in Hull, we went out for a night into Harrogate clubbing and pub crawling etc and as my house was full of family staying over we paid to stay in the hotel for a night as we got a deal and paid £25 for a night, for us it was cheaper than paying for taxis all over the place and alot easier for us to go and crash into bed when the night came to an end. As the reception is open 24hours we were able to come in at around 4am and not have to walk far from the clubs or pay to get a taxi as the hotel is on the same street as all the main clubs.
It was one of the best nights we have had for a while as we were just able to come in when needed. Deffinately a night that will be repeated very soon!
