“Loved the Bijou”

Brighton, East Sussex

What a find! 5 minutes walk from the town centre, the Bijou is a small friendly hotel (10 rooms and a large lounge and breakfast room) nicely decorated in an ethnic way - lots of leather, floorboards and dark furniture. The beds are 'to die for' extremely comfortable with pristine thick white bedding. The inclusive breakfast was delicious with lots of fruit, cereals, etc., freshly squeezed orange juice and 'cooked to order' full English plus other equally delicious breakfast dishes. The proprietors were very friendly and on hand to help in any way they could.

The Bijou Hotel is a great choice for a short stay in Harrogate. Friendly proprietors provide a welcoming atmosphere and ensure you are very well looked after for the duration of your visit.
The rooms and en suite facilities are immaculate, as are the extremely homely lounge and dining room.
The cooked breakfast is superb and complemented with a seemingly endless supply of tea, coffee and toast and you really must make sure you take advantage of the simply fantastic afternoon tea - it is even better than Betty's in town!
The Bijou really does live up to its name.

“Perfectly stylish B&B”

The Bijou

13 May 2008

The Bijou has been delightfully renovated in a contemporary style whilst still retaining comfort and warmth. Excellent facilities, competitively priced, delicious breakfast, ample parking and well situated near the town centre. Gill and her husband are very friendly and the breakfast waitress was cheerfully charming. Highly recommended.

“The Bijou has style”

The Bijou

11 May 2008

Such a lot of thought has gone into this b&b. Newspapers and magazines in the stylish and contemporary lounge, free internet access, also in the lounge. We had a superior room - was stylishly decorated. Extra special touches in our room included fairtrade tea, coffee and hot chocolate; welcoming sweets, biscuits and fudge; tissues, cotton pads, luxurious complimentary toiletries; a hairdryer actually placed by a mirror!!! A watercooler just outside our room - an excellent idea. Oh and the breakfast - luxury items including Betty's Olive bread, stylish jams, home-made muesli and banana bread, plus a delicious full cooked breakfast...wonderful!

“Lovely B&B”

The Bijou

1 May 2008

Excellent stylish B&B. Great value for money. Breakfast was lovely and there is plenty of parking available. Only a short walk into Harrogate. Rooms are fairly small but have everything you need. Great customer service. I would recommend a visit.
