We had booked 4 rooms & parking for 3 cars, 1 night in the hotel 14 nights parking. Having read the recent reviews of this hotel I was quite worried as felt responsible for having booked it for the 11 people in our party. After a horrendous 7 hour journey down from Yorkshire we were so relieved to see the hotel. There was plenty of parking available. Check into the hotel went smoothly, the airport transfer which operates on a 1st come 1st served basis was fully booked so we booked a taxi & a mini bus which actually worked out cheaper than the £3pp hotel transfer. The rooms although a little dated were clean which was the important thing, the bathrooms were very clean with an excellent power shower & shower gel shampoo etc provided. We ate in the hotel bar that evening & paid the usual hotel prices but the food was of an excellent standard. The following morning we left our car keys with reception & went to the airport in the taxi's that had arrived as booked, the transfer took about 10 minutes. On the return from our holiday we used the yellow phone at Gatwick to contact the hotel to request our pick up, we were told it would be a 30 minute, 5 mins later the bus arrived to collect us. We collected our cars with no problems what so ever, the cars had been taken offsite as our car had done 4.3 miles from when we had left it but happily with all 3 cars there were no problems to report.

Avoid at all cost, please pay a little bit extra and go else were. Rude staff at reception, no help to carry two heavy suitcases up the stairs. Expensive resturant. Smelly rooms with cigeratte burns all up the nets. Had a lovely one week stay in egypt then picked car up which was told was round the back, pitch black, no outdoor lights, loads of puddles and pot holes managed to find car cramed in could not get in drivers side parked to close to other cars, checked car next morning badly scratched reported the scratches but was told it was not logged in the book as damaged so now having to claim of our own insurance to get put right.

These people really can not care less about your car.
The car park is not secure. They put your car anywhere.
For example.
On the grass
On the pavement
So close together you could not put a rizla paper between them.
After ariving back from egypt , I collected my car from the back of the hotel which is riddled with large pot holes.Try doing this late at night when there is little or no lighting.
After inspecting my car the next morning i saw straight away it had been damaged.
1 Scratched and scuffed bumper
2 Scratched and scuffed door
3 scratched quarter panel
After reporting the damage to the manager he told me they are not liable and it could have been anybody but not his staff.

First of all, I dont know why its called a Gatwick Airport Hotel this hotel is quite far away from the Airport. I thought since this hotel was so far away they should atleast provide complomentary shuttle service. The shuttle service will cost you 3 pounds per person each way. We chose to use the taxi service instead. The rooms were dated, bed was uncomfortable, the carpet in the room was dirty looking. Also there was a stong odor of some sort of smelly air freshner which made me sneeze all night. This hotel is not worth your stay.....look elsewhere.
