stayed at this hotel for one night with a work collegue as we were on a training course in Crawley.

we arrived in early evening and were checked in straight away. the front desk service was really helpful and polite.
our room was on the 2nd floor.
the actual hotel is set out in a H shape, with a huge atrium inthe middle.
as we arrived quite late, we didnt use alot of the facilities. we were aware there was a gym, bar and restaurant.

there was also ice machines on each floor, which was good if u wanted a cold drink.
car parking at the hotel was very secure. it was operated by barrier entry and patrolled often.

the rooms at the hotel were lovely. the key was a swipe card, which is also used to operate the lights, which had diffferent settings. you could dim them as well, which was nice.
there was also climate control.
the beds were really big and comfortable. there was tea and coffee making facilities and a TV.
the bathroom was gorgeous!!!! everything was granite and we had complimentry flannels, towels and soaps.
everything was immaculatly clean and shiny. there was a seperate bath and shower, which you dont normally find.

as we were leaving, we saw Emirates cabin crew checking in with their pilot. If its good enough for them, its good enough for us!!

all in all, our stay was brilliant, we would have happily stayed for longer. as far as i know the hotel provides transfers to the airport, which take about 10-15mins, which is good for airport users.

This is a very new hotel, well placed for Gatwick and just about gets it right - that's just about not completely. Check in and Check out were quick and efficient. Rooms are bright, modernist and precise - great bathrooms. Restaurant food is uninspired and rather ordinary - we were enticed in there by a 10% off offer from reception which the maitre d' knew nothing about. It did come off our bill though the next day without prompting although it was soon absorbed the 10 % service charge and also the £10 parking fee which I consider a dishonest practice when staying at the hotel. Annoyances - Batteries in the TV remote control were flat - that's poor and the mini- bar was not stocked (if it was a fridge not a minibar then why were there no glasses in the room to enjoy a glass of your own wine?). - ah! to "encourage" you to call Room Service I suspect - clumsy.

“Good facilities but a BAD restaurant!”

Arora International Gatwick

Stayed for a week at the Arora. The accomodation and the facilities were good. My room was v clean and the only thing wrong was that the heater in my room didn't work.

Not very much around the hotel to do so you are stuck there. The hotels pub was good but the bar staff were a little odd! The happy hours made up for it though. The pub can get quite busy because its used by local residents.

The BIG downside to this hotel is the food. Keep clear of the Italian restaurant as the food was awful. Really stodgy food is served but if you like fruit cocktail you will be fine because thats all they have on the dessert menu.

Breakfast was ok but you end up trying to find a table because its so busy. The one morning we were offered to eat our breakfast on our laps in reception because they were short on tables. Some days you had to get your own tea/coffee due to lack of staff

Forget it if you are on a special diet because the hotel will say that they can cater for you but when you get there they will not!

The restaurant and its chef - chef is too good a work, more like a cook - They need to improve a great deal.

Hotel good - Restaurant - V V Poor

Hotel room was fine. The restaurant food was below the standard I would expect. The real problem came when we were supposed to be picked up from the airport after our holiday. I booked a collection when we were in the Baggage collection at South terminal unfortunately the conveyor broke so we had to wait 45mins for our luggage. This meant that we missed the pick up time. After 25 mins I rang to enquire when the next bus would arrive and was told shortly. When he arrived it was a small vehicle inapropriate for number of people waiting. The driver informed me that we had missed our pick up time and so he could not take us even though we had been waiting the longest. After some arguing with him and then speaking to the Hotel they eventually sent a taxi. So if you use this Hotel remember to book a collection as their is no scheduled service and make sure you reconfirm if you are delayed moving through the airport and note they only use small vehicles.

Stayed here for 1 night before a trip to the states.
Arrived at 14:30 checkin was quick and easy, the hotel is quite large so had a liitle walk to our room. The room was great, extremly clean and well kept, large comfy bed, nice plasma t.v, and a great bathroom, spotlesly clean with bath and shower. The room had the smartest a/c unit i had ever seen (see the pic) and it worked so well at the touch of a button, not your average dodgy old unit.
We did not eat in the hotel but the menu and restaraunt looked really good. The whole hotel was great, so clean with good attentive staff. The car park is under the hotel and cost £10 per night (unless you have booked a parking package there.
We booked a parking/hotel package with another company and paid £55 for the night, an absolute bargin, you can get rates from £69 on there website when booking well in advance.
The hotel is an easy 15 min drive from the hotel. I cannot recomend it enough, if you are needing a hotel in Gatwick, stay here, no need to look around for one, this is the best by a long way - well done arora top marks!!!
