As many of the past reviews, we stayed at the Arora the night before a flight at Gatwick.

We found the hotel after a few trips up and down, there were plenty of parking spaces. i t was a bit of a pain to carry suitcases up the stairs from the car park.

Check in was easy and quick.

The room was very nice had all the amenities we could want. It was nice to have a bath and a seperate shower. The fridge was nice as we brought a bottle of champagne to drink so it kept it lovely and cool.

Popped down the the bar by the palm deli before popping over the bridge through the train station to get some last minute bits and had a quick bite to eat.

When we got back, we were looking forward to using the steam room and jacuzzi, so we were very disappointed to find the jacuzzi covered up so spent 15 mins in the steam room and then back up to our room. I believe the gym/spa area are changing management so that might have been the reason, but it spoilt it a little bit as that was one of the reasons we booked this hotel

We spent most of the evening in the sports pub Morgans, it was quite nice and got talking to another couple so our early night turned into quite a late one.

We ordered sandwiches from room service and they were very good and reasonably priced.

We did not take advantage of the shuttle service as we had arranged for our car to be parked elsewhere and drove there in the morning.

On checkout we were surprised that the stated £10 overnight parking was only £5 so that was a bonus.

I would definitley stay there again as it was good value, good amenities and very conveniently situated.

This is a modern stop-over hotel for Gatwick Airport which is used by a substantial number of aircrews. If you travel by train to Crawley railway station go to the London arrival platform, walk along it to the end and you will find a doorway labelled "Arora Hotel". Ring the bell and they will let you in - very convenient. The town of Crawley is over the station footbridge and then a walk of about 2 or 3 minutes - if you want to go for I cannot imagine why anyone would want to go there!
The hotel is fresh looking and well decorated (good first impression) and we were welcomed warmly by the reception and promptly registered. Our room was reasonably sized with a good bathroom but smallish bath. It was clean and wholly acceptable for a one night stay although the room lighting was pretty poor.
The bar was situated in the atrium which is overlooked by bedrooms - the hotel has an unusual layout. It was OK without being memorable. We ate a bar meal in the hotel bar because the town of Crawley did not seem to offer anything acceptable. My pasta was about OK but my wife thought that her club sandwich was dry and unappetising. The only draught beer was Japanese (Why?) which tasted like any other lager. The main hotel restaurant is Italian and not that cheap. I cannot comment on breakfast.
There is another hotel bar which was a strange place decorated very simply and a bit out of keeping with a four star hotel. If it was an attempt to recreate a "typical" British pub then it has failed quite miserably but it did at least offer proper beer at reasonable prices (£2.60 for a pint of John Smiths and a Happy Hour)! Bar meals were available here also.
The shuttle to the airport is very reasonably priced (£2.50 per person) and can be booked at the reception. Book as early as you can because it only goes every hour (quarter to the hour) and the mini-bus is rather small - I think it only takes 7 people. The trip will take about 10-15 minutes to the airport. I cannot comment on the reverse direction.
We paid £64 for a night and thought it was good value for a South of England hotel. It was a bit soulless and characterless but if you need a decent stop-over for Gatwick Airport then it is in my view quite a good choice. I might very well use it again myself!

Stayed at the Arora Sunday night as had early flight on Monday and didn't fancy the M25 that time of morning and wanted a nice start to the holiday.

Absolutely fantastic room, comfy bed and lovely shower.

Took their mini bus to the airport at 6.45am - train service goes to the back of the hotel every 20 minutes from Gatwick even late at night.

Had a walk round shops, pubs and restaurants around Crawley which was 15 minutes walk but didn't look that safe to go out in the dark and heard a few ATM attack stories from locals.

Ate in the Italian restaurant at the hotel instead - expensive for small portions (you have to order everything from chips and vegatables separately otherwise you just get your meat).

Money apart - the food was absolutely fab and services was excellent.

We stayed at the Arora International for 1 night prior to our flight to the States and what can I say, we were really very impressed. We managed to get the room for £42.00! including breakfast! The hotel was clean and pefect for us, we used the courtesey bus to the Airport which only cost a few pound.
We didn't take up on the breakfast as we had to catch an early flight but we did eat in the restaurant in the evening which seemed fine. For the purpose of our stay we found the hotel incredible value for money.
