“Excellent airport hotel”

Arora International Gatwick

5 May 2008

We stayed for one night at this hotel as part of a 8 day parking package. Good value hotel, clean, well equipped, helpfull staff and the parking is underground below the hotel. Free hotel bus ride, about 10 mins, to Gatwick as part of the parking package.

The hotel restaurant serves an Italian menu but is a bit expensive. Crawley town centre is nearby so there are other choices for a meal. There were several groups of aircraft crews staying at the hotel which for me is an indication of quality and value.

Excellent location, value for money and secure parking for 11 nights in Gatwick all for £85!! The best value for money hotel and parking I've ever had. The rooms were exceptionally clean and very very comfortable. The car park is under ground beneath the hotel and very secure.

A perfect place to stay the night before traveling to the airport.

This hotel was very good, comfortable, well equipped rooms, decent gym facilities, excellent atrium which provided for a lot of comfortable seating. Breakfast was buffet style but plentiful. Not a bad price when booked online. Business seminar facilities good as well. Good pick up service from Gatwick airport which was free.

This is a very agreeable hotel to spend a night before (or after) travelling via Gatwick Airport. The staff were friendly and helpful. I had booked the wrong night, but they honoured the booking anyway, which was great. The room was comfortable and quiet, despite being right next to the railway line. I would agree with comments made by other guests about the catering, but a little bit difficult to describe the problem I had (not a big deal though). I think the hotel is a little further from the airport than advertised and the shuttle van driver's watch runs a little fast which means that he leaves 1-2 minutes early, so be warned! Very convenient if you are travelling to the airport by train as the hotel can be accessed directly from the platform on the southbound side with only a few steps up. I would definitely stay there again if I have another early morning flight out of Gatwick.

“great for a stopover”

Arora International Gatwick

15 Apr 2008

As many of the past reviews, we stayed at the Arora the night before a flight at Gatwick.

We found the hotel after a few trips up and down, there were plenty of parking spaces. i t was a bit of a pain to carry suitcases up the stairs from the car park.

Check in was easy and quick.

The room was very nice had all the amenities we could want. It was nice to have a bath and a seperate shower. The fridge was nice as we brought a bottle of champagne to drink so it kept it lovely and cool.

Popped down the the bar by the palm deli before popping over the bridge through the train station to get some last minute bits and had a quick bite to eat.

When we got back, we were looking forward to using the steam room and jacuzzi, so we were very disappointed to find the jacuzzi covered up so spent 15 mins in the steam room and then back up to our room. I believe the gym/spa area are changing management so that might have been the reason, but it spoilt it a little bit as that was one of the reasons we booked this hotel

We spent most of the evening in the sports pub Morgans, it was quite nice and got talking to another couple so our early night turned into quite a late one.

We ordered sandwiches from room service and they were very good and reasonably priced.

We did not take advantage of the shuttle service as we had arranged for our car to be parked elsewhere and drove there in the morning.

On checkout we were surprised that the stated £10 overnight parking was only £5 so that was a bonus.

I would definitley stay there again as it was good value, good amenities and very conveniently situated.
