All excellent from the very start. The saff very freindly and helpfull, showed us round the guest house , all seemed cared for properly , very clean and comfortable all round. Nice larrge guest lounge with free tea and coffee facilities, nice back garden. bedrooms were well made up, clean and comfortable. also enjoye very nice home made evening meals. We will certainly recomend Da vinci manor and for sure will return and stay again.

In January 2007, we booked our reservation from the USA for 2 double rooms for 4 nights in October 2007. We received confirmation from the owner/manager 2 days after booking.

When we arrived on October 9 around 4:30 in the afternoon, the manager informed us that there were no double rooms available in the main house and that the owner had decided to put us in the "cottage". We were required pay in advance prior to seeing the "cottage".

The manager then took us to the cottage which was freezing cold, smelled like mothballs, the kitchen and bathroom were filthy dirty, had mold in the corners of both bedrooms, and half of the light bulbs did not work. We complained to the manager who called the owner and we were told that there was no other option.

Because the other couple has allergies to mold, they left , found other accommodations and checked out that night but they still haven't received a credit for their 4 nights of lodging. We were stuck for one night because of taxi arrangements with another group for the next day but then were able to find accommodations elsewhere for the 3 remaining nights. We have not received credit from the manager for the lodging.

We lodged a dispute with VISA through our bank and were unable to receive reimbursement for the charges. However, because we saved all of our correspondence from the time that we made the reservation, we were able to prove to our bank that the owner's response to our dispute was not truthful.

I would not recommend this motel to anyone. This property was grossly misrepresented.

When you book this place you are welcomed buy a not very plesant e-mail that states they have a 50 % non refundable deposit independent of length of time give to cancelations. I have never stayed anywhere that inforced such a policy. The accomadation is also nothing like what the pictue suggest.

A real mess sums this place up. got there, and had to double check we were in the right place as the pics on thier site are not what it actually looks like.
All the grounds are overgrown, there are dumped cars in the carpark that looked like they had been there 10+ years, all weeds growing over them etc.
The curtains in the windows were dirty, and all around unappealing to us. even though we had already paid the full price for an evening, we refused to stay here and found ourselves another hotel.
It looked like something from a horror film!
